just wondering what you guys think.
his serve speed seems to be steadily increasing.
actually, i noticed that his serve speed has increased slightly as well. But it doesn't seem like he tries to serve that hard, so i don't think he'll ever hit 140.
can? or will he? If he went for absolutely no placement and just hit his serve as hard as he could, maybe he could hit 140. But if we're talking about "will Federer be able to serve a 140 with placement?", I'd say on. Even if his pace seems to be steadily increasing, I think the most we will see from him will be something like 135. Does anybody know what his fastest serve during his career was? The most I see from him so far seems to be 130 so far
If he hit extremely flat, probably.
You know sometimes when you try to hit it harder you can't, cos the timing goes. I reckon he's at his optimum now.
I think no.
He doesn't serve that big, pacewise. Precise, yes, but not extremely powerful.
I think his fastest serve that goes in, will be about 135 mph. I think he could serve it 140 if he didn't try to hit it in the box, though.
Fed can do anything: leap over tall buidings in a single bound, fly through the air, serve 200mph, beat Pete in his prime. He's also the greatest man ever off the court: makes Ghandi look lake a barbarian.
