Obviously if possible I'll bring it inside but in a pinch will it damage it in any way? Like to take it to work and hit the courts afterward. Thanks for your help!

    Heat

I would think it would be fine to leave it in the car. I leave mine there and have not seen any ill effects, but I do it only occasionally, not every day.

I think you might see temp up around 130 F at most. Hotter than that you cannot handle very easily.

The components that would seem to be at risk would be the battery, electronics, motors and plastic structure.

The battery would not get as hot as they do under the hood of the car when driving, although not many car batteries are gel cel. The electronics would seem to be OK as well as the propulsion motors which would get hotter in use than in the car.

The only risk for me would seem to be the plastic structure, but this is the same stuff that many parts of the car interior are made of, so it should be OK also.

    Hope this helps,

Uh...What about the electronics in your car stereo or all the other computerized controls found inside the car? Maybe SP boards are not the same stuff?

The SP boards are handling quite a bit of power to keep the motors running and I think they would run hotter than the inside of the car, but I have not measured their temps. I will try and post the results.

In any event, I live in the desert southwest and cars get plenty hot inside here.

I've left mine in there a good few times, no problems so far.

No problems with mine in either my car or hot garage. It is not exactly a delicate piece of equipment. In fact, I am thinking of drilling a large enough hole in the side of the ball hopper so I am able to charge it while it is in my trunk -- and just leave it there.
