It looks like nadal may not be able to beat roger ever again the way he played today, is it possible for him to win the french against new clay court King ROGER?

the way Federer played, he is indeed the new clay court Demon! He mastered the likes of world number 5 Del Porto and even grand slam champion Andy Roddick, and now tucked Nadal into bed! I say given the way he played today, he might just win the next 5 FO!:)

Why is this year different than any other year?

When federer destroyed Nadal on clay 6-0,6-2 In Hamburg you guys all said the same thing....and yet when it came to a best of five Federer lost once again.

Nothing new here. Same old story.

Im dead serious, suddenly the New Clay Court Demon (NCCD) has every trick to master the former clay court king Rafa. Hmm i say the NCCD will win roland garros comfortably. nadal's clay era is over, unfortunately.

This thread is funny, the OP is clearly joking, we always get plenty of new Nad fans who make joke threads, it's rare to see a fed fan do it

Thats what makes you very different than a Fed Fan.....you give respect where respect is due.

Roger is a great player and he should never be underestimated.

Nadal fans dont hate Federer but on the other hand Federer fans hate Nadal.

I have been a nadal fan for 3 years now, and i have not seen him like this in a while, but roger played very well today, especially the last game, when Rafa had two break points, i thought rafa would come through that game, but roger aced him, i really think that roger will be the greatest of all time in three weeks time, sadly

Comeon lets not spoil this good day with nonsense. I'm a big fed fan, but lets not get ahead of ourselves. I think Nadal is still the favorite at RG, but I would not say he has it in the bag. I think both Fed and Djoker are hungry to dethrone him. Fed really surprised me today. He did exactly what he said he was going to do a couple weeks ago. I've been saying all along that peak Federer is better than peak Nadal. He just needs to sustain it for 5 sets and he can win FO, not an easy task though.

Sure Nadal can.. If Nadal can get joke, trash draws like Federer got Madrid . Imagaine what Nadal would have done to Roger if Nadal only had to deal with a draw like Del Potro, Soderling, Blake, and Fraudster and a 1st round bye instead of dealing with Djoker and Verdasco.

1 win is not going to turn things around for Federer. I think a better question is: can Federer beat Nadal again?

    Never again, for sure.

    LOL!

Now, being seriuos, I think that Nadal will have a very big confidence drop if he losses RG (even if it is in the final and even more to Federer). He also knows that he can't hold this rythm forever, it happened to Roger and more sooner than later will happen to rafa

    Altitude?

I thought I heard the commentators speaking about Nadal's particular dislike of playing at high altitude. Supposedly he is afraid of the balls "flying" on him.
I'm a Fed fan but when I heard about this I feared that perhaps the conditions made a difference in the match and Fed's win didn't mean much.
Maybe it's a valid point because of Nadal's unusual use of spin or maybe I'm just being pessimistic. I want to believe Fed will S&V his way to a French title but I can't see Nadal losing in Paris.
