I'm gonna let the Fed/Nadal fans finish, but Djokovic Prime (2011) is the best of all time

Every fan base are biased but some are more biased than the others. I considered Nadal fans at the low level because they argue WTF is an exhibition, 13 >17, and H2H is more important than career achievement.

He was not injured when he lost to Tsonga, Rosol, Darcis, Soderling, etc..

Even if he was injured that's no excuse because it's part of the sport.

Cut that "they" crap out. There's only a few and guys like TDK who are NOT Nadal fans but come on here to stir **** with other fan bases under the guise of one. It's as clear as stretch wrap for anyone with a brain. What REAL Nadal fan doesn't even know Rafa's stats? Get out of here with your bias. Mono is no excuse either

Nice to know Fed is still in his prime since he won a slam last year then. No more of this Fed-mono-back stuff that supposedly ended his prime in 2007.

I know there's more Nadal fans have said WTF is an exo. DRII, suresh, 6-1 6-3 6-0, the_order just to name a few. Sure, some of them knows Nadal stats, but some also say Nadal is more goat worthy than Federer, who is ahead of Nadal in achievements.

Fed fans are biased too but they would never go as far as saying 21 MS > 26 MS, but Nadal fans have said 13 > 17. Fed fans have anointed Nadal is a clay goat, Nadal fans considered Fed is lucky, his slam count are not impressive because he has no competition.

Sampras fans are the worst. They do anything to not only discredit Federer and the entire generation of tennis.

Federer wasn't proclaimed GOAT before 14 slams then? Come on. There is NOTHING wrong with people thinking Nadal is some mythical GOAT when there's no such thing anyway, because no player has it ALL. So Agassi is just a troll then? Everyone doesn't have to think the way you do about Federer. That's the definition of insecurity. Rafa is one of the greatest players of all time.... you can't get upset just for people putting him in that conversation. Do you. Stop worrying about what other fanbases think if you're so sure Federer is your "GOAT" which you seem to need him to be on a level that is less safe than base-jumping without a parachute. If you get some kind of bonus check for everyone here proclaiming Federer GOAT, then let me know and I'll get in on it too. Otherwise who cares?

Federer was proclaimed GOAT even before he won his one and only FO title.

Does that include a 31 years old Sampras was in his prime in 2002 ?

Try to convince that to the Sampras fans.

Seriously, you'll enjoy life a lot more when you stop caring how much everyone does or doesn't love Federer.

But who picks their butt less? I think that is the true question in determining the GOAT.

Yeah Federer had some weird losses, and so did Djokovic. Nadal will have more weird losses than both but that should not hurt the achievements he has.

Not necessarily. Just winning a one off slam could be an aberration and doesn't indicate that you are in your prime. You can sneak in a slam outside of your prime if you get hot for a period of 2 weeks and give it your everything. Or if you get an absolutely cake draw without having to face a single top 10 player.

No sure shot way to determine if a player is in his prime, My criteria for defining prime w.r.t winning slams : If a player backs up a slam in a given year by winning a slam the following year too, I would include that year in his prime.

Fed's 2009, should be included in his prime because he did win a slam in 2010. But 2010 onwards, he never won a slam in two successive years.

Djoker's 2008 was a one off case, but 2011 onwards should count as his prime till he goes slamless for two consecutive years. Same for Murray, starting with 2012.

Dude, this is a tennis board, don't tell people what they should/shouldn't post and getting all worked up.

Take your own advice and stop caring about what other have to say.

Well the nadal is not being considered for GOAT in the first place so it doesn't matter who he loses to.

He'll be GOAT-like the more Johnny Mac trumpets him to be, however, he is slowing accumulating the slams. Equalling Pete wouldn't make him the GOAT, yet. But when he reaches 15 or 16, that is when it is ripe to talk about Rafa's GOAThood.

So had Navatilova won Wimbledon 94 over Conchita Martinez it would have been her prime still?

    Two things:

    1) There is no such thing as being "very bias". It is "very biased". The misuse and constant overuse of bias is infuriating.

    2) The way in which people on this board mangle the usage of "prime" (and, even more so, of "peak") is even more infuriating.
