I agree, but Tipsy will probably takes participation on WTFs, last year he beats Djokovic and have a match point against Berdych, played only two matches....

He will make the final if opp of Federer...Tokyo a fast surface and Paris is even more faster. :). Paris will be delightful chance for Raonic. Will play Valencia.

Tipsy and Monaco were knocked out early in the tournament, we'll see how long Milos can go in Valencia...

Well it's a giant no now. Muller is a weird player. One day the greatest player in the world, the other day not even playing like a top 500 player.

maybe, milos just doens't like playing lefties. beside, i don't want to see him in the tour finals, his game is too boring. I want to see Gasquet instead.

  9. Gasquet might make it...He only has to take tipsys spot as nadal is not playing and I can see him doing it with tipsy fatiguing after a long season for him!

It depends on Tipsarevic's drawn in Paris.

Raonic would need a miracle in Paris to get the 10th spot as hitting partner.

If Nadal is playing, then even Raonic winning Paris wouldn't help, because he'd still be behind Tsonga.

If Nadal isn't playing, as seems likely, then Raonic needs to overtake Tipsarevic. Tipsy has 2810 points, Raonic has 2290, that's a difference of 520 points. If Raonic gets to the final of Paris, that's enough points - but only if Tipsarevic loses in the 1st or second round. If Raonic wins Paris, then he'll be ahead of Tipsy unless Tips is the one he faces in the final.

So yeah. If Raonic wins Paris, he'll probably get in, unless he faces Tipsarevic in the final. If Raonic gets to the final but loses, he'll probably get in unless Tipsarevic, Gasquet, Almagro, or Monaco are his opponent in the final. If he loses in the semis or before, he doesn't get.

It's a tough order. Doesn't seem likely to happen.

I think it will be better if Raonic gets close but doesnt quite make it. He needs his breakthrough at a major... not the WTF

Yes, he missed a great chance in Valencia, had a easy way to the final after the withdrawal of Tsonga and Tipsy.

Yes he did miss a great chance and I'm sure he realizes it. No big usual reliable serve and many many UE's. Plus he was playing an in-the-zone player ranked 61 but I wouldn't be at all surprised if Muller lost in R2. Raonic's displeasure with himself was evident at the net with a perfunctory handshake.

No ideas, no initiative. Flat. Muller did to him what he should've done to Muller.

The World Tour Finals would suit Raonic. Servefests galore.

With Djokovic unexpected loss LOL, we'll see how long Raonic can go. Gasquet is also out.

He's got Delpo in his quarter, but it's possible that the Tendil tower will want to save himself for the O2.

A Rao win here could vault him to #10 or so. So I guess we'll see.

He has to get through Chardy first. . . .

Unless Roanic makes the final, he doesn't even have a chance, but even if he makes the final or wins, he is still not guaranteed a spot.

That's about it! If Raonic doesn't improve his ROS, even next year will not qualify at WTFs.

And not even at the best service period of his entire career Nadal was able to beat Federer there.

All in all, not bad for the Canadian Cannon's first full year on the main tour.

He said he was fighting a fever today, and some of his many near misses would seem to bear that out.

He still needs to improve his ROS, his movement, his tendency to repeatedly go to his inside-out forehand, and his habit of falling to wiley veterans. But in all fairness, he certainly made strides in improving his movement and consistency since last year.

Prognosis: promising, and given his current ranking he ought to start going deeper in slams. Fingers crossed.
