He should use a dampener to get rid of that annoying CLANK when he hits the ball.

PLUS he was hitting with the BOTTOM of the pan! The top has more surface area, and the teflon would have helped him put topspin on the ball. What a nub!!

If Andy played like that, I would actually win 7-0/1/2 or something.. (I'm likely to make 1 or 2 unforced errors)

Just curious (as a foreigner), what rating does a guy like that have?

The guy playing Roddick wasn't very good. I think he mentioned that he played in high school and hadn't played most of the year (it was spring during the filming) because of bad weather.
I think a decent player who had been practicing could have beat Roddick that day, including myself. With a frying pan you're pretty much stuck with lobbing the ball over because you have no spin.
I like the idea of playing on clay to slow the ball down for Roddick.

Now I'm just waiting for someone to pounce in with a 'could you beat Federer if he was using a frying pan?'

Thanks. He's the guy that beat Roddick in Madrid. The little dance he did afterwards was hilarous. I'll give props to Roddick. He took it like a sportsman and just shook his head with a little smirk.
After his match in IW against Ferrer, Roddick met him at the net and said this: "I have so much respect for you."
