I'll make a pot of tea, I have Tetley tea bags that I brought from England, but I think I'll use the Marks and Spencer extra strong bags instead.

I'll have an omelet too please. Bacon, tomatoes, spinach. Cheers.

Hope no one minds I came in my jammies. I'm still half asleep, but since they are almost sweats you can hardly tell.

Topaz, thanks for the info on the Sangrias. :)

    Omelets made....hope you enjoy them...
Got some fresh cod today at the fish market...tonight's special will be baked with a dab of blarney Irish butter and lemon pepper, steamed yukon gold potatoes and chopped spinach with a hint of fresh nutmeg....
hands in the air if you will be around for dinner;)

Well I just finished my semi-finals match. I'm not in a good mood.

We won our first match 6-1,6-1. Partner played well and it was pretty easy to win. We won our next match. However not so easy. Won 6-0 in the first set and then led 3-0. I told my partner they may start hitting it exclusively to him and to just stay calm and hit it back (nothing fancy). *Garfield the cat face*. Yeah you guessed it, he did the opposite. Went Cowboy on me.. and we lost 6-4. We barely pulled out the third at 6-3. I cursed, threw my racquet and just begged for some sort of thought process. I'm a ***** when i don't see smart playing.

So we go into our semi-final. I said, whats past is past. Just remember, dont try to lob off of a return, hit it over the net (i dont care if its long) and whatever you do dont hit it down the line. *Garfield the cat face again*. I never saw but 2 balls that weren't served to me or I didn't serve over. Obviously we were scouted.

I think i have a temper again. Topaz, you know i won't mean it during our play. We may need to sing "Kumbaya"during changeovers so I wont get angry and yell. I want to win. I know you have heart. Just fessing up that I felt helpless today and i couldn't make my partner see it even though the score showed it. I felt bad that i put hammer down on my partner.

Sorry for the vent. Just not a happy camper.

Awwww Sup...let me get you a strong drink...that's what the bistro is here for....vent on Babe...I have a good supply of ear plugs for any customers that don't want to hear it...At least you're honest about your temper and your desire to "play smart"....deep breaths....in with the good air....out with the bad air....;)

Vent away...that's one of the reasons we have this wonderful bistro.

We'll fine tune our game plan, don't worry...and I don't lob off of returns, so we're good there. I don't usually hit down the line, either...I'm all about the percentages in doubles, trust me! My biggest worry is making sure I get out of your way! ;)

Hmmm, we've got a pretty good Monday night NFL line-up tomorrow night, now don't we? *sly smile*

    Today's highlights:

2nd grade teacher: Are you doing something for Constitution Day?
    Me: Today is Constitution Day?

1st grade student: Are you a big bundle of baloney bread?
    Me: I might be!

Me: Once you find your spot, put down your dot. That's your place and space. (help, I'm turning into Dr. Seuss!!!)

I'm starting to feel like Pete Sampras at the French Open.

I can only get as far as the Semi-finals of our local tournament. Its infuriating me. So what do you do? You sign up for mixed and recruit Topaz.

The Media has been alerted. Topaz and I start practice tomorrow and our first match will more than likely be at 9:30am on Saturday. That said please don't expect my rants by 12 noon because i have full confidence Topaz can hold her own. "Kumbaya.. serenity now!"

    Very exiciting

    "serenity now.. serenity now..."

what's that song from Lion King....here we go. Hakuna Matata!!!!!!!!!! Sing it loud! Sing it proud! And sing it like you mean it....a one, a two - a one, two, THREE......

    Hakuna Matata!
    What a wonderful phrase
    Hakuna Matata!
    Ain't no passing craze

    It means no worries
For the rest of your days
    It's our problem-free philosophy
    Hakuna Matata!

Why, when he was a young warthog...
When I was a young wart hoooog!
    Very nice.
    Thanks!
He found his aroma lacked a certain appeal
He could clear the savannah after every meal
    I'm a sensitive soul, though I seem thick-skinned
And it hurt that my friends never stood downwind
    And oh, the shame
    (He was ashamed!)
    Thoughta changin' my name
    (Oh, what's in a name?)
    And I got downhearted
    (How did you feel?)
    Ev'rytime that I...
Pumbaa! Not in front of the kids!
    Oh... sorry.

    Hakuna Matata!
    What a wonderful phrase
    Hakuna Matata!
    Ain't no passing craze
    It means no worries
For the rest of your days
    Yeah, sing it, kid!
    It's our problem-free
    philosophy...
    Hakuna Matata!

Oh man, I'm cranky this morning. I'm sure the email I just got from a parent wanting to meet with me early Thursday morning (after I will be here until 9pm tomorrow night for Back to School Night) has nothing to do with it...NOT!

    *grumbling*

Don't they get that I don't live just down the street? It takes me, sadly, 45 freakin' minutes to get to school. And now they want me to come in even earlier?!? #$^^&#%@$@!!!!!!

Sup, I hope for your own sake...I'm calmed down by tonight! Us 3.0s...are aim is dicey at best! ;)

Thanks for the warning Topaz. I'll wear a sports cup and do a lot of ducking and dodging.

P.S. I better not wear my Redskin shirt tonight. Egads. That may be too much for you today.

    Phew, I'm tired.

Hit with Topaz tonight. She had me running around during rallies. Defintely a 4.0. Don't let them tell you otherwise. She was returning my second serves for a while.

On a sidenote. The Hitechtennis guy was playing next to us. I asked to hit a couple rally shots with him. Funny he didn't recognize my name but I named dropped Drak and he was "recognized".

A salad, and beer and I'm off to bed. Got a 5:30 AM trainer session tomorrow.

Hahaha...sounds like you had a grand time...good for you Topaz...glad to hear that you had our Sup running....a free cocktail waiting for you tonight....so our Drakkie is known but not our Sup???? WTF? Must be selective snob....only enters the technical threads and wouldn't be caught dead in the bistro...bah....we are at least friendly here;)

So..what is everyone going to dress up as for halloween? You all DO dress for Halloween don't you?

When will our CC return...hasn't it been a month yet? Oh, guess it'll be a month when Sup's avatar no longer has blackened teeth and wears glasses....heheheheh...that Sani is a rascal....don't you love the avatar? The polar bear sticking out it's tongue? That's our Sani;)

    Carry on....

Do you even need to ask me Bette?

however i put a twist cause the cape gets entangled on numerous things. I wear a suit, glasses and an old time hat and pin open the shirt to reveal a superman logo. It's my annual Clark Kent costume. No one steal my idea! grrr.

Well, it was an obvious choice Sup, but thought I'd ask...what about everyone else??? What a day I've had so far....beautiful weather today...got in a good workout and then had a light bulb moment...my windows looked pretty grimey....what the hey...it's a nice day...so I washed my windows outside...phew.....what a job...oooof...I deserve a very cold cocktail right now and NO NO NO Topaz, Fee, SportsFan...I am NOT coming to your houses to do YOUR windows...I'm a big meany;) Need to get some water and swallow some motrin...the upper arms and neck are a tad stiff and sore...guess I'll sleep tonight....
    How was everyone else's day?

I had a first grader wearing a Superman t-shirt today...blue shirt with the S emblazoned on it! I thought of you!

I think you do the twist just to get out of wearing the tights.

Me? I will be running a 10k that weekend, so more than likely will forego any big Halloween celebrations...depends on what is going on. I have a wench costume that I made that I still re-run, as well as an angel costume. I have a Halloween T-shirt that I wear for school. The day after trick or treating is always one of the hardest days to teach...the kids are unbelievably insane the day after thanks to the piles of sugar.

I'm would of been happy too, but it seems I lost my fan club signature. *grin*.

FYI- Topaz, the only type of shirt i would play in, that doesnt have a nike swoosh (clothes snob I am).. is my superman t-shirt. Yes its true.

Speaking of tights. I was freezing last night during tennis. Soon the long johns need to come out.

Uh oh, what did you do?

    .

You need to get Nike to make a Superman t-shirt...that way you can have the swoosh and the S!

Freezing? I guess I didn't run you around enough!

Alright kids...so here I am, stuck at school for about five more hours...I need entertainment!!!

Story time...have you ever spent days looking for something, given up, then found it unexpectedly? I tore apart my apt this summer looking for the old registration to my car, hoping to turn it back in and get a refund. I couldn't find it, no matter how hard I looked. You don't get a refund after six months, so I gave up.

This morning, in a mad dash to move our trophies to the trophy case in time for tonight's parent thing, I came across a random manila folder. Inside the folder was the registration to my old car. How in the world did it end up there?!?! I could have sworn it was in the same bag as my old plates...but no, it was stuck in a folder in a cabinet in my classroom. I swear, sometimes these things have legs and crawl away all by themselves...I'm *certain* that I had nothing to do with it! ;)

Arggggggggg...yes Topaz...I have the same problem....Ghosts? Maybe....but I prefer to refer to it as "the black hole"......remember to put this is A VERY special place so it doesn't disappear...ooops not fast enough...the black hole got it....Lost items to date: Strapless bra purchased only to go with a bridesmaid dress...found it AFTER the wedding of course...pizza pan (yeah, that's hard to lose...I know) a skirt...a pair of magnifying glasses. Arggggggg matey's....I'll be in a rocking chair in the old folks home one day and still be telling "black hole" stories....

If I edit my signature again will I get a pic of Sup in his tights? Ahoy there sailor.....

Hmmm, I'm struggling a bit here. How to tell a captain that you're not interested in playing on their team anymore? Especially after you've already left and come back once before? Aiy, aiy, aiy...this isn't going to look good. At least I recruited several good players for her that are staying.

I'm really trying not to take on too many teams this fall...I have a tendency to not being able to say 'no', especially when it comes to tennis.

In other news, we just had a fire drill. Fun, fun, fun!!!

Edit: *whew* She took it well...but it still feels hard to say no to someone that has pretty much let me play whenever/wherever. But the team was really weak, and she was also started to saddle me with more and more captaining duties, and I already have plenty of those.

SF92 shuffles in....head down...having flipped past several times...the debacle on espn. ***the tears are flowing**** okay - in reality i was surprised at all who were giving my aggies more due than i thought they deserved. but it hurts nonetheless. i'll be in the corner w/my fellow aggie buddies....surely there's at least one other that will wander in for a shiner and a big screen view of our boys..... ***sniff***

The art teacher just forwarded me a bunch of pictures of animals dressed up for Halloween, courtesy of their insane owners. The pictures are *hilarious*, however there is one that is just a bit more funny than the others.

I present to you...Sup's best friend!
