Senti said the cremation is tomorrow so he will be busy with arrangements and incoming family for the next few days but will return to the board as soon as he has time to be with his extended family of friends here.

Thanking you all for him for your kind expressions!

Thanks a lot folks. I am opening my laptop after several hectic days, and wanted to thank you all for wishes, it meant a lot to me when i read these posts on the 22nd night.

You really are an extended family, as Tom said earlier.

I never knew it would be so complicated and exhausting, not a moment to myself in the last 3 days. Guest, relatives, and everything that goes with that -- washing endless dishes, babies wailing whenever you want to catch a little sleep etc. A quiet little flat turned into a hotel !

We don't believe in rituals but my Dad's boss took over and wanted everything done very traditionally. So it's been one function after another -- cremation, immersion of ashes in the Ganges far off, prayer meetings, a havan (just concluded), and the steady stream of visitors and family who need to be plied with single-malt whiskey, food, dark chocolates, premium brand icecream, etc. With Senti, the socially-challenged anti-social sociopathic introvert as the host !

I haven't even a clue what's happening on the USO front.

    #GoRoger

p.s. Tom please tell me the USO isn't over!!!

Glad to hear from you and take care!

Day 1 USO just beginning. Plenty of time to make an eggplant rollatini or two.

Glad to see you back Sentinel!

Good news: not only is the U.S. Open just beginning, but have you seen Federer's draw?

Great for ''the Sentinel'' to be back just in time to witness Rodge's crowning moment in a forthnight (haha, such audacity huh?)!;)

And Rafa had to leave a swirl of cow dung twirl on the floor so that ''somebody'':D here may make take a swipe and quip, like: ''Look at Rodge's draw, it's cake walk!'' Come on Rafa, man up and play thru that phantom injury of yours and have a slice of that twirly swirl!:-|

A new friend of mine from my pedicab adventures bought me a bar of Lindt 90% Excellence tonight. I will have my first square tomorrow while Rogi The Baker prepares unleavened Matosevic, er, matzah for a hungry Aussie to enjoy.

    What can one say ?

Let's see how Chilly does the rest of the season, and at the AO. Should be interesting.

Must be a great day for the Croatians.

Anticipating a lovely cool down weekend upcoming, ILC visits local wholesalers looking for yummy veggies. Returns with a large, overflowing basket of goodies. Check the chalkboard later for specials. Think carrot soup will be one of them:)

Where am I and what is going on? The ceiling fan spins above me, like the fan in the opening scene of "Apocalypse Now," while the lemur pulls me by my feet from beneath a bistro couch. Dedans and ILC laugh from above about last night, a night that I don't remember.

The lemur has two tickets to Prague, and we don't have much time to make it to the Bistro City train station. I don't want to go to Prague, but the lemur assures me that Lucie Safarova will be there to meet us.

My dearest Senti, gives Senti a very gentle hug.....Am glad that all went well. Gives Senti a very large bowl of zucchini leek soup. Sorry I need to leave for a dentist apt, but ILC leaves behind with Senti, several containers of soup. A lovely mushroom leek and a healthy chicken garlic. Feel better soon my dear dear friend <3

The lemur takes a seat next to Sentinel and keeps mentioning how good the soup looks. Natalia comes in, and asks Sentinel to let her know when he is ready to go for a jog.

^ Oh dear ! Madagascar is also home to some creatures called tarsiers, one of Senti's fave. They are tiny monkeys that are palm-sized with huge eyes.

^^ Natalia is most welcome to jog with me, I had a 30 minute jog yesterday, so i am getting back into shape. I hope to do an hour before the month is over. We have quite a cold wave here.

My Zhiguli skids to a stop in front of the Bistro. The lemur and I run in and ask who wants to join us on a vacation trip. The lemur runs back with his backpack full of mangoes and LPV, and I return with my usual Fischer bag full of Stolichnaya bottles.

The lemur returns to the Bistro and brings back his chick friends.

A bunch of tarsiers, luggage in hands, sprint to the Zhiguli to join us.

Marloes looks over and decides to join the crowd.

Maria puts down her coconut and saunters to my Zhiguli to join us.

Maria then leaves the summer realm of the Bistro, runs back inside to the winter realms, returns, and asks if her friend can join us. I says that it is okay.

It is now very crowded in my Zhiguli. Before we can leave, Natalia puts down her joint and runs to the Zhiguli. "Can I join everyone?"

I say,"Of course you can join us, Natalia! Just don't sit on one of the tarsiers." She gets in and my Zhiguli speeds off to the Bistro City Airport.

Sounds like fun my Beloved, what do you think? Mr P and I quickly pack a small bag and head to the parking lot where the trusted little caddy that "zings" sits, awaiting a quick getaway. Mikey's car is a little too crowded with supermodels for us. We pull out of the parking lot and zip behind Mikey and head to the airport for parts unknown.

If the airport is not too far, I'll pedal up to three of y'all plus the lemur or tarsiers to the Tarmac in my pedicab. I'm bag friendly like Southwest so load the Fischer bag but I'll warn you beforehand, Mike...it'll be a bit lighter when it arrives, especially if someone brings a little cranberry pomegranate juice to aid in my recovery.

Maria K will appreciate my effort and give me a just reward upon arrival!
