Welcome to the forum ;-)
Looks like a great selection of player sticks
Do you like to mixup the types/colors of your overgrips for different play conditions ?
Great collection. Which rackets do you use on a frequent basis?
On almost all racquets I use leather and Pros Pro Maxim (0.5mm) as a thin overgrip.
Oh, I change way to often, because I enjoy those classic player sticks. Current favourites in no particular order:
Puma Davis Cup Competition and G. Vilas
Adidas CF25-XS mid
Donnay Turbo Ceramic 1
Head Graphite Edge
Völkl C10PT, Tour 10, Tour 10 VE
Fischer Pro Extreme FT
Prince Graphite Supreme
Makes sense, most players are particular for grip specs. I also prefer playing leather unless its too humid and then a tournagrip is my fallback.
Rucanor Flagstar 100
Snauwaert Ergonom, Donnay Ultimate 90, Gamma Tradition 18, Dunlop Tempo 255, Bothe Stenthor Tour Ltd, Toalson FortyLove BR Tour, ATP White Fox
The Ultimate 90 has one of the thinnest beams: 16mm
(I also have the Hammer 5.5 Spin and the Sledge Hammer Spin)
Hi Plaz, nice to meet you again...........Nice collection.
I am not plasma.
Prince Graphite 1986
Prince Graphite Pro, Graphite Powerflex, Graphite Supreme
Adidas, Fischer, Yonex
They look practically brand new . . . When playing with them, do you pass on the low balls and volley?
ProKennex, Head, Donnay, Volkl
Plaz, some nice sticks there man especially the Donnay's, the ultimate 90 is a very rare racket...
Are we having fun yet?
Didn't like the 32 as much as the 37, somewhat different feel but can't put my finger on it...
hmmmmmm ... vilas gold!
Nice Pumas there.
I have read that they are exceptionally powerful. I remember McEnroe saying that Becker could not have one Wimbledon at 17 without using the power of one of these.
I have a Slazenger V24 that I believe was the frame Vilas used immediately prior to the Puma. The V24 is typically flexible as wooden frames are. I imagine the Puma would have a totally different feel to the V24 so Vilas must have made a big adjustment to it. He did have some late career success with the Puma
I have never hit with one of these puma frames, how do they play?
Awesome collection of Kennelbach Sticks!!!
What are the Black with silver and gold Donnay's in the middle of the photo?
Donnay Turbo Ceramic 1, braided graphite kevlar...
VS, those are Turbo Ceramic 1's
a real photo finish
Love the Volkls, especially the T10 gen 1 and the C10 Pro Tour
Really like the Graphite Borg, where'd you get it?
Farewell!? You're not leaving for good are you?
no worries, I just had to say farewell to those frames.
(I am not plasma)
Let me know when you want to say farewell to the C10 Pro Tours
Or course you're not:shock:
(And neither am I)
welcome, big brother
^very nice Comp Pro. Is it similar to the Comp Tour?
It appears you obtained the rare prototype... where Head mistakenly stamped their logo and the frame name mirrored
(j/k for the dorks who think I'm serious)
Plazma has been banned.
F**k it all to h*ll. Plasma could sometimes be out there but he was one of the reasons I visited these boards.
yea, i'm confused, he posts all these old school rackets then gets banned?
yet 90% of the Pro section dork and puerile hackers remain free...
sometimes i dont get it!
As long as one does not criticize TW's reviews or make an attempts to sell tennis equipment in the "Racquets" section, the probability of getting banned is pretty remote. In another words, avoid making posts that might jeopardize TW's business.
yeah.. i know. but still, plasma is severely missed here. and so is Gymrat. they were along with still active Virginia, Retro, VSBABS and a few others (jimbo) the soul of this section...
I never noticed Plaz badmouthing TW or trying to backdoor them, but then again, I'm not here every day. Was there a specific reason he got banned?
And am I correct that Deuce was banned as well?
