Chardy vs Seppi 4th round

Both are playing better tennis these days.
One set apiece, Seppi broken in first game of 3rd set.
He's starting to use very poor shot selection, missing a lot of cross court forehands when moving in to put away short balls.

Looks like another tactic of slice/FH combos for Chardy. He's also starting to feast on Seppi's weak 2nd serve.

Chardy in 4.

^Lol whut??
Seppi is clowning it up, missing routine shots, and serving slower than the average WTA. As soon as he gets slap happy Chardy into a rally he wins it every time.

I like that Jeremy Giant-Killer will likely survive another match. He'll have another giant waiting for him in the quarters...

Chardy's forehand is a sick shot, reminds me a lot of Soderling's.

I saw Chardy play live once, and that shot actually looked like a liability. His movement wide to the forehand is not good. hitting some massive returns of Seppi's cream puff second serve though

Grand Slams mean way more to people than Masters do. 5 sets vs. 3, and even with Masters events, you never quite know if they're giving everything they have. At a Slam, you know.

At Indian Wells a few years ago, which Murray has never done well at. Chardy beat him in 2012 at Cincy where Murray was the defending champion

Murray is a former finalist at IW. I wouldn't read too much into their Cincy match - Murray had just won the OG and had hardly played on HC for 3 months. Their 4 previous matches, which Murray won by dropping only 1 set, are probably more of an insight on how any Murray/Chardy match might go.

That said, he's a flashy player who is really hot when he is hot and nothing is impossible.
