I thought some of you might find these two articles interesting.

The first is a little write up about Chase Buchanan and the second is about Michael Chang.

What time where you there? After Chang showed up around 6:30ish I snuck off to the far side courts to practice some serving. I ended up hitting with a few of the players. I just got back in fact. BTW, if you didn't know, the radars are about 7 - 10 mph slow.

I bet I saw you then or you had just left. I'm going to be helping check you guys in tomorrow. Say hi if you want. Of course I would respect your privacy regarding these forums. If you get a chance I believe the rib fest starts tomorrow in Arcadia park downtown. It was pretty good last year.

It was pretty funny because the me and the last guy I hit with were both trying to break 100. We both hit 98 and 99 a couple of times. The funniest part was the harder we tried the slower we hit. :D

my prediction ? Chase B. won't win... he's too stiff... and he'll lose his temper when he's pressed and blow it...

I don't know about Kandath either,it seems like all these new college arrivals sort of went downwards this year.. as soon as they got into the school they wanted, they just had no more desires to improve.. Kandath looked real bad at Easter bowl and some of the other tournaments .. a lot of them looks like they lost their tennis legs..

Chang and Goldstein played the doubles match with the top seeded doubles junior pair. Afterwards it just started raining a bit to hard and the court was slick. They moved the rest of the time into a meet and greet which I was able to vid. No major "tidbit" of info but overall it was still interesting to listen to Chang and Goldstein. Not many showed up though. Still, all in all it was a fun night.

they moved into the gym for talk session ... Michael C.. is a real nice guy and Goldstein is a true Stanford man,I was impressed by Goldstein's list of Jr. K-Zoo accomplishments ... also Chang won a double tilte here at KZoo.. that was a complete surprise to find out..

They both sound like great role models to the juniors competing in Kzoo.

Btw good luck to JW at the Zoo
