A reel of Cyber Flash is way cheaper than a reel of SPPP.

You can't beat the price / performance ratio of Cyber Flash.

A reel of Gosen Polylon Ice is $30. But it's super stiff so string really low in tension. Cyberflash is a much better deal in my opinion. I've yet to try polar poly.

The cheapest poly is Ashaway Monofire. It's a basic gold colored extruded poly that costs about $20 for a 660' reel.

polylon ice is stiff at first, but it broke in for me and played well. but it still has a very stiff feel to it. if you really need something cheap then it is worth a shot, but if you can afford something else then i would go with something better. oh and it is prob too stiff to do a full job, because it was stiff even in a hybrid!

Price is one thing - just remember you tend to get what you pay for.

The key criteria about poly strings are:

    Stiffness
    Tension maintenance

Choose one depending on what type of feel you would like to get from your stringbed, not price because it's no use buying a reel of stuff which you end up hating.
