I play with a man who I think cheats. Every single time we've played a match, he has either taken a game away from me by misstating the score (1-4, instead of the real score 1-5) or, adds a game to his score. The first time it happened, I thought I had won, but he said I had 5 instead of 6, and I believed him. Hours later, I realized I had been duped. After that, there has always been a point in the match where I dispute the score, and he always stands corrected and apologizes after we backtrack and go over the games. Is this tactic common? I have to admit, I am not very careful with scorekeeping, usually trusting my opponent, and have learned a good lesson. He has been playing since he was 7, and was taught mostly by his older brother. What is it with people?
