Why should titles be 'defended'?! The titles don't disappear from the player's statistics!

Is Cincinnati even a real Masters?! Because more than half the matches aren't even televised
Why aren't the matches made available for public viewing?!

His chapter will get more emotional with every word written, as he will look back at his steady decline and last few years of trying to get his hands on the best there is, and cover up a massive hole in his resumee...should be a good, but very sad chapter......

    Where are you, bro ?
It's coming on Ten Sports/HD here in Desiland.
Day before it was on one of the Star Channels. Actually, its not the fault of tennis, now its this stoopid Kabbaddi that is trying to inundate all channels.

I think these ret4rds are trying to get the Indian fokes hooked onto (field) Hockey, Kabaddi and maybe khokho / gilli danda next by making everything look like WWF and roping in some celebrities.

He was once a mere "GOAT". *shudder*.:)

Hey - was wondering if that ball boy was you in Murray/Isner match?

I know you must be bitterly disappointed Rafa is a no-show after all the trouble you went through to get there, but you did good ;)

29 big titles. 29!!! One more and he's at 30. 4 more and he's caught up with his REAL age.

I don't like that matchup...the sureshsian Forehand of Evolution will hone in on the topspin BH that even Edberg cannot fix and OP has a superior serve than Nadal and/or Ferrer...the gun says 130 mph down the "T"! Rogi may have his hands full!

Haha, Unbelievable. If he wins this USO, he will have double the number of Nadal.

Interesting that Roger has won Cincinnati four times since it was declared the Real Slam by Sureshs (despite having won only twice before, in his prime). I guess that means Federer is a better counter-troll than Sureshs is a troll.

*smh* , make that four times now.
I cannot believe semi-retired , almost wheelchair bound grandpa Fed is still winning the REAL slam on the fifth anniversary of this GOAT thread.

Anyway, this is the thread that keeps on giving , year after year. OP is a closet Fed fan who tried to cement Fed's GOAThood with this thread.

It's a month away, but I am already psyched. Once this imitation Wimbledon "slam" is done with, who do you all think will win the Real Slam this year?

Because, when you are a defending champion everybody is gearing up towards taking you down. Everybody is playing with that extra motivation against you.

Defending means that you met the challengers and defeated them, when you were in the center of the things and there was a target on your forehead. The alpha male.

Hitting when flying under the radar (i.e. when nobody expects you to do so well) can be attributed partly to the surprise element. There is no surprise element when you are the defending champ.

Of course that nothing disappears form the statistics! Why would you even say that, when it is obvious?
