Does anybody know a great clay court shoe?
FYI my foot is a little bit wide so I can't do those very narrow shoes.
    Let me know your thoughts.

    Thanks in advance

Regular discounted Nike 2k11s or 2k12s work great for me on clay.

The GR4 clay or now the GR5- I purchased from TWE and the Gel Solution clay from TWE. The Gel Solution is very light and extremely well ventilated for play in Florida or hot weather. You should avoid any hard court shoe that has a clay sole stuck on it like a CB, it's overkill. Pick a light weight shoe.

It's a color not released yet. It's stadium gray/white/total crimson. Also I'm sure the court ballistics will have a clay version as well. Also any vapor 9 ID can be customized with clay soles.

On clay? That's a shame if so, I've only used them for a total of about 6 hours on clay so I can't tell as re longer term wear. I for sure know they'd only last me about 12 hours on hardcourts, the rubber is very soft and not "true xdr" at all, but clay is much easier on a shoe.

Not at all. 2k has a traditional herringbone pattern that is softer. Vapor has a similar outsole but a little different tread pattern, still pretty soft, and CB is a thick, sturdy rubber.

The Yonex 308 is your best bet. It's light weight, fits a wide foot, and has the best tread pattern for clay. Just get em', you won't be disappointed.

Yup, 2k is a great clay shoe but can run a bit on the narrow side.

Those blue yonex's are hideous though and not sure how that sole is supposed to work on clay? I gotta have the traditional herringbone pattern. They might be best for a wide foot though?

The babolat v-pro 2 clay looks pretty nice. I'm gonna be in the market for a 2nd pair of clay shoes come spring and might go with those.

Yes yes and yes, very comfortable and great traction with that different tread pattern for clay. Only complaint is that they are a little heavy, but hard to complain about that considering the support they offer and how comfortable they are.

I play on clay most of the time and am going to get some Asics gel resolution 5's. Will these be okay for clay courts?

Always used Big Shots on Clay which have been good, but the Prestige Pro Clay & Wilson Rush Pro clay are outstanding. Haven't have the Wilson's a good match day run yet but they feel very comfortable and excellent traction.

Has anyone tried the Nike Air Max Cages on clay yet? If so, how are they? The tread looks like it would be fine on clay

Yes, they will be great. Just make sure to get the clay-specific soles, these are available on TW.

I ordered a pair of the Babolat V-Pro Clay the other day, pretty good deal going right now on them. I'll let you know what I think when they arrive.

Got the V-Pro's in today. Their quite comfy and the sole seems perfect for clay. They also have a pretty cool elastic like curtain over the first few laces to block any clay from getting into the tongue area. I won't play in them for a few months but they should do the trick just fine.

Nice to finally have some clay soled shoes offered here in the USA.
