I have been using the original babolat pure drive from around 2003 or 2004 for the last 8 years. My frames both make slight buzzing noises like they might be slightly cracked, and they are worn out. I need a new frame.

I would like a frame that is pretty much the same as my current one. If anything, I would like slightly less power and slightly more weight. I don't want any significant changes.

Would the pure drive roddick or pure drive GT fit my needs? Any other frames that would be a good match.

I tried the wilson blx blade team and I felt that the power was just a bit too low for my needs.

    Thanks for any help!

the new pure drive roddick is great!!! really nice racket, i found it less stiff than the previous racket, even though i dont own one i have a ton of people on my team that have the new and older versions of the pure drives (only thing getting me from buying one is that EVERYONE on my team has one) so yeah ive hit with some of the older iterations too and the new one is just right with everything it does

You could try the previous puredrive frames and have them customized to be close to what you're looking for.

Was actually going to suggest an APD Original too, if you can find one. The weight may not be quite what you're after stock, but also just occurs to me that perhaps the BLX Pro Open, Formula 100 and X Fast Feel might be worth thinking of.

well I ended up buying a pure drive GT and it was exactly what I was looking for. It feels a tiny bit heavier and a tiny bit less powerful than my original pure drive, but very close.

I am almost certain my old frames were cracked, because the new one is so much more solid.

I'm going to pick up a second one while they are still in stock, and use my old one as an emergency/3rd frame. Not bad that they are only 129!
