What is the different between these two type of poly? Is co-poly naturally stiffer than just poly? Is co-poly also generally retain tension better than pure poly?

The trend of poly going is towards co-poly material, just want to find out why is it so.

    Thanks.

co-poly strings are easier on the arm and maintain tension better. it would be obvious to go the co-poly route since it's "better' than a regular poly string, but some people still prefer the feel of regular poly over co-poly

Any idea what is the other material they put inside the poly to make it co-poly?

The way I understand it, poly is just polyesther, while co-poly is polyesther with something else mixed in to tweak the material's properties. That something else varies from product to product.

Thanks ripper. I just want to know.
The next thing we know, all synthetic will be obsolete soon when they eventually find something with better playability and as soft as it but last longer. The co-poly will be the next generation of synthetic guts (though i know all them are actually synthetic technically speaking :D).

If you really want to get technical, you can read this:

    And this:

    Edit: Well and this:
