What do you guys think of this? My serve is my weakpoint in my game I Dont really have a loose arm.

I really wish he would have explained it more I kinda get what he's saying but I want to make sure I'm doing it right so I wont have an injury doing it the wrong way

So can anyone explain how to do this type of serve?

I always wondered how to incorporate the hand drag.

I will try keeping the elbo away like he says. cant wait to try it.

    That's not a serve. That's just a serve motion.

"Cobra Serve" is such an 80's name. It should come with an instructional book with guys like Don Johnson, Nick Bollieteri, and big hair Agassi on the cover. Oh wait, Brad Gilbert's photo from Winning Ugly to make the "Cobra Team" complete! They could be standing around a Delorian or something.

Anyway, moving the arm/elbow away from your body creates width, like a golf swing. I forces you to get your core mechanics right, or close, to generate any power. I like the idea, but if you're not doing the other things right it won't be successful.

thanks for this video. i love these short posts with relevent technique ideas. I tried it today but couldn't experiment too much as we had a team practice. i forgot to think about the elbow but definitley let the hand hang. i was not serving faster but i was having to use less effort. some interesting possibilities here i hope.
