college vs. pro

    hello! i am thinking about going to college. but i have some questions and i can't find an answer. so, if you can, please help me. can a college player play itf and wta tournaments? i've heard that can but the player cannot accept the prize money? is this true?

    That is correct, although there are many players, usually foreign players, who have won plenty. The NCAA is trying to crackdown on 22 yr old Freshmen.
    You can play ITF/WTA tournaments but must retain your amateur status to be eligible for NCAA/NAIA competition.

    Your allowed to cover your expensis with the prize money. Thats how it was in the juniors (amature)

    Ncaa are pretty **** though, you never know with those guys.
