I have heard that a product called colostrum has good healing properties and at the same time enhances sport performance.

Can someone please tell me if they have had experience with this product, if so, is it good for improving fitness levels for tennis and does it have any bad side effects also where can it be obtained.

    Thanks for any input. Norm

Just another scam. Don't spend a dime on this stuff. Colostrum is found in mother's milk, and it's purpose is to increase the growth of the baby. However, it has absolutely no biological function of that magnitude in anything but newborns. If you were just born yesterday, by all means, guzzle the stuff.

Technically, colostrum is the initial secretion of high immunoglobulin milk from the breast that is designed to give the newborn an antibody boost from the mom. More than likely, the products that are out now are from bovine sources (if they even are colostrum)and might do you some good if you are a small calf. Otherwise, you might want to try breast feeding again from a new mother if you really want colostrum.
