It's been too many tournaments he's been on shank-mode this year.

Aren't you the one always criticizing Halba for overreacting?

    Funny.

    I said this from Fed-Davydenko AO 2010.

I think 3 months is enough, he posts after 15 min.

I think he's fine, to be honest.

Once he rips through all of the competition on the way to the FO final, we'll see that ******** is just a phenomenon outside the slams.

    As usual.

has anyone seen the 1st set of Fed vs. Davydenko in Melbourne this year?

Worst set i've seen from any player in an ATP match. He couldn't make the easiest forehands.

true but still frustrating to watch.

even when he's on shank-mode he still comes up with awesome shots in every set.

I want to see someone with a big board saying "GO ********" when he does shank a lot. I would love to see Fed's response.

It doesnt look like hes off balance or having reach issues so its either a problem with loosing sight of the ball or hes not having the strenght to bring his raquet fast enough to hit the ball where he needs to

Its really getting to the point that you feel hes gonna shank every point

Maybe its time he gets close and personal with a coach that can help him out

Well I don't know what standards you all have, but apart from a set and a half against Davydenko, and a set or so against Andreev, I thought Fed played pretty darn well at the AO. If ******** is the guy who wins major finals in straight sets, then go ********.

Regardless of the final result, Fed tends to shank more than other players. That's why he's so boring to watch over a whole match.

Oh my I totally forgot how long that dude takes! I watched the Nadal/Berdych match at IW and fell asleep in the 2nd set. I hardly ever do that. I noticed when he gets pressured the time increases. He gets plenty of rest for those "injuries" thats 4 sho.

Do you mean Federer is the only one who has the right to criticize himself? Good, then none of you trolls have the right to criticize Nadal either!

That's not what I was suggesting. I simply meant that it's more or less ok if Fed isn't playing his greatest tennis right now due to all that he's accomplished (and his age). So I wasn't suggesting that he's playing the best tennis, to say that would be ridiculous, I'm just saying cut him some slack, he's getting on in years (for an athlete) and he's accomplished a ton.

I agree with you there and I try to not criticize Nadal.

    Troll.

Just saw on Monfils' twitter page that him and Federer had just practised for an hour in Madrid. Glad to see Federer is not hanging around and back on the court.

Monfils is a good guy to practise against on clay i'd imagine.

Ooh wow really? Great to hear that Fed is really putting some effort in. And I agree, I think Monfils would definitely be a good practice partner on clay.
