    Hello,
I play with a K Six One Tour 90, and in May I restrung it with NXT 17 at a 57lb tension. It has played very well for me throughout the entire summer, until the last month where it really started to fray and last week it broke. I have been looking for a replacement and I'm strongly considering stringing it with K gut pro 17. I'm hoping this will give me a little more control and the same if not better durability. can anyone vouch that this will be a good decision? Also, if I do end up getting the k gut pro, will 57lbs, be pretty even with NXT at 57 lbs.?

I string for some top juniors. I just recently have begun using K-Gut. Of course its very similar to NXT, but seems to maintain tension better. String it up about 2# from NXT.

Anyone compared K-Gut with X-1 Biphase?

X-1 is softer than regular K-Gut and pretty close to K-Gut Pro.

No, last about two weeks, string at 59. I also have used K-Gut on the mains, and Sensation on the cross, string at identical tension, and no problems.

Agree with the tension maintenance comments (better). I also felt the k gut pro was slightly more powerful with similar control at same tension and would string a pound or two lower with k gut pro. k gut pro is a better string in every aspect in my experience.

sorry, one or two pounds higher. I went from 54 to 55 in the same frame (K90).
