Really miss the old Rafa look :(. Unfortunately Nike made him change probably because it's harder to market a look that includes capris.

With his new look, I think it's been downhill ever since the end of the 2009 AO. His night gear in that tournament was cool 8)

The less said about his checkered shorts though the better...

I did like his clay season 2010 look though, one of the rare kits I liked with sleeves/normal shorts.

    You CANNOT be serious!
The kitchen curtain shorts? Really?? :D

I got a buddy that bought those on some stock emptying garage sale or something, and every time he uses them, we get on his nerves som much that he ends up losing :D

Haha, yeah generally, I don't like when Rafa has plain white shorts, im so bored with that, so I didn't mind the checkered ones at all.

Ahh that's really cool, cee! Looked up the match and it was IW way back in 2004, QF. Nadal was knocked out in R32. Next tourny Miami was the first Fedal match, with Nadal winning in straights in R32.

Little did Mirka know the guy next to her was going to become such a thorn ... :)

I love this one... especially because it perfectly demonstrates what is meant by "hit out in front" and because it shows what strings do during impact.

Yes he really jumps quite high, but in that picture the jump is amplified by the low angle of the camera.

Coool! I've seen a lot of those down the court pics but that's an ace different perspective.

even then.. the angle towards the T on feds side of the court makes it look like djoko is somewhere close to his right sideline. where id expect him to hit a FH return.

but maybe the angle is just misleading

anyway it sure is a spectacular pic

The way I see it, Roger must've served down the T, to Novak's backhand, hence the position :)

if you just try to extend the T line on feds side straight into djokos side it will end far to the left of where djokovic is at. going by that line it looks like hes nowhere near the T

Probably was a serve not all that close to the middle line.

Great pictures everyone. I love the Federer/Del Potro ones-Juan Martin looks like he's been sipping tequila during the changeovers, and Roger's like "Amen! I finally won a @#$% title!" McEnroe's racquets look tiny compared to the one the pros use today.

    Legend meets legend...
He is one the best Dutch/Football(soccer) player ever. Sure now days are power and speed, but look at his finesse touch during his games. His name is Marco van Basten btw.

Quite rude of you to point that out. Perhaps he doesn't get the chance to play four hours of tennis every day? I suppose you didn't have any parents growing up who instructed you to NOT point out personal observations of what you consider to be weaknesses in others.

    It's a doozie isn't it?

Photos showing the strings moving and which are also good photos otherwise are pretty hard to find.

not to brake it to you but the hubble telescope finding life on mars probably wouldnt be that big of a deal. chaces are good it would be spores from down here. so saying it would be a great as that pic seems like an exaggeration ;)

There is always a dummie that does not understand a joke...
And a dummie that does not realize that it is not needed to play 4 hours every day to have enough of exercise...
    Mind your own business...
