I would like to know the pros and cons of the yonex rds 001 mid... there are probably a couple threads already covering this but i cant be arsed to look :)

if anyone using the racket could give me some info on how it plays it would be much appreciated.

    cheers bubs!

    nickb,

i myself was looking at the first model, the 'all yellow' one? in which case the review has been wiped off.

is the new model any different to the last one then?

no worries if you're not sure.. but you seem like you know your stuff!

The new model plays the same. The only difference is the grommets at the throat and the paint job.

I have yeah but not for long. The mid is very crisp, has a bigger sweetspot than the K90 and is low powered. Really nice at the net and on serve. Paintjob hurt my eyes :)

haha.. yeah i was considering the K90 but i'd heard that this one does better in a couple departments.. and with a pair of nice sunglasses for myself i can blind everyone else with the paintjob

I actually think the K90 is better at everthing compared to the RDS. The RDS is just easier to use.

Agree a bit w/ Nick. 001 easier to wield than K90 but notthe same feel and pop that you get w/ K90. However, very good alternative for those looking for a similar frame with a lower swing weight...

001 is good on serves and net play, but I've found it lacking in response from the baseline.
