I could beat her in surfing and motocross, but if she wasn't allowed to baseline bash, I might at that too.

The only people with even a remote chance would be 5.0 men and up and they are a limited breed on here.

Maybe my serve may trouble her.....but I rarely go for the lines in my baseline play so I think I would lose easily. Though the weight of a women ball is so easy to handle....that It would be easy to create angles.

Plus the fact I am not primed fit just for tennis....against her I think Fitness is key.

Against a professional retriever....I don't think anyone here stands a chance unless they are college level players!

You have no idea what the weight of a "women ball" is until you've at least played against a D1 female.

I seriously doubt ANYONE on this forum, excluding MofP, TBalla, TonLars, and less than a handful of other's, really knows how hard the weakest hitting girls can really hit. You cannot say anything until you have experienced a softly hit, but DEEP and WELL PLACED ball coming towards your side over and over again. And "softly hit" is only if THEY have to contend with your hard hit deep, well placed ball.
Even the weakest hitting pro man, like retired Santoro, can hit clean winners off almost anything we can throw at him.

And don't forget, any girl who can make it to any level get's plenty of much better GUYS hitting with them, at them, and to them.
They've faced almost every big serve possible, with the exception of the 140mph stuff, so nothing we can throw at them would bother them, even MofP's serves. Now a well placed MofP serve is another story, but that is beyond most of us.

I have played with a couple of DIV 2 girls before, and the would spank me. I would feel happy just to get games. I have also hit with DIV 1 girls before, and they would destroy me. I would feel good just to get points. So no, I am not going to beat a pro.

anyone who says yes is a little vain

Taking the match seriously, I'd bet on TennisBalla, TonLars, and an inshape MofP, very few others. Obviously LawMan, ClintThompson, but they haven't posted here in years.

Exactly. Until you hit against a girl who was asked to leave not just her state, but her country to come play tennis where you are, you cannot understand what it would be like. This is talking D1 female tennis, which isn't even in the same league as top 50 in the world. As LeeD said, even the best junior girls here in the states end up running out of girls to hit against, so they have to play with the guys. When they start winning those matches, then they step it up and spread further from home. Once you've spread completely across the globe to find competition.....

I hit pretty regularly with a local 17 year old who dominates Open tourneys in our state. She has played a couple of futures events and lost in early rounds, and she beats me.

I voted 'no' with massive confidence... I honestly doubt anyone on this forum other than maybe ClintThomson would have any chance at all against a top 20 WTA pro.

There is a reason why she is a professional tennis player. There is a reason why she was won 7 tour level titles.

She does this for a living, and sure there is the possibility of getting the points here and there, but to be able to beat her...HELL NO.

Any person on these boards think that they can beat a pro level player is nuts.

I could play her close on a good day but I doubt I'd win unless it was a fast court and I served well. Even then it would be doubtful. The number one at my school is like 800 something on the WTA and I beat her 1-1 so I feel like I could get some games, she'd easily win 9 out of 10 times. Baseline game is really holding me back.

And to those who say I'm delusional, I've hit with pros and top 20 DI players before so I know what a high level is like, I've hit with James Blake, Blake Strode, the number 1 from arizona two years ago (JG) and top juniors, two of which reached top 20 in the nation (one was actually number one in the 16s)

Most top tier 4.5 male players could beat Agnes...it would be close, but the power of the 4.5 male trumps the weak serving WTA female player.

I could get a few games and play some close sets, but I doubt I would walk away with the win. I've hit with Serena Williams before and that kinda sucked but I still got a couple games because of my serve. I've hit with male pros such as the Bryan Bros, Jessie Witten and recently Roy Emerson (not that he is anywhere close to his prime lol) and played some pretty solid D1 players also. But still anyone on this forum short of the future level/good d1 players would lose to a top 20 woman.

This thread is a deliberate attempt to ridicule Radwanska and it is in very poor taste at the moment IMO. Unlike the clown #1 who shall who continues to rest on her not even that great laurels and tournament wh0re rather than than fix her forehand, learn to volley, or even bother trying to improve in anyway, Radwanska who has even less natural power and weaponary is actually working her ass off to improve her game and has shown noticeable improvements in the last several months. For that alone she should be admired.

I am not sure if you're joking or simply have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.
NO 5.5 or below male has absolutely ANY chance against any top 100 WTA player. Their moving, precision and action on the ball would totally confuse everyone else.
I am playing weekly with one of the better former USA top college players and SHE is a completely different story than other 4.5's I hit with... The WTA player is tripple that...

So, those 8 people (at this moment) that voted "YES" are completely delusional (unless Clint and Tony voted which I doubt...)

Not at all. I wanted to know how people here thought their game compared. Yes, I picked Radwanska cause she is probably least over-powering and perhaps most passive of top 20 WTA players. This doesn't mean that I am mocking her nor underestimating her talent.

maybe if it gets a little warmer out, but idk if I really feel like it. I don't want one of my videos to become the second Tony Larson thread. Because no matter how good anyone on here is they always end up getting ridiculed and I just have better stuff to do with my time

Questions like these are always asked, and the answer is the same. The answer is always no. You would have no games, and almost no points.

Don't underestimate the game of the top tier 4.5 male. The young ones with D3 or solid HS experience that are really 5.0. The top tier 4.5 from Denver would beat Agnes. The top tier 4.5 from Houston would beat Agnes and possibly a Peter Polansky type player on a good day. I've seen these guys hit and they have fantastic ball striking capabilities. Couple that with the Amplifeel(tm) technology coming out from Wilson and you've got rec players elevating to new levels, finally feeling what the pros feel. The revolution has begun my friend. Tune in and turn on.

While I don't think anyone on this board would win, I do not agree that a 4.5 or 5.0 "would have no games, and almost no points". There is a BIG difference in power and speed between a femalee & male tennis player at any level.

When I was in HS, Pam Shriver was on my Men's Tennis team. Our #1 at the time (1978) was a guy named Brian Gibbons. Brian would beat Pam handily every single time they played. I remember once that Brian beat Pam in a sanctioned tourney (MALTA) 2 and 1. Two weeks later, Pam upset Martina in the Semis of the USO and made the final (eventually falling to Evert). I also know some of you would say that there is a big difference between the woman players of that era and now BUT it is all relative given equipment, etc.

    Anyway, my 2 cents.....

I have hit with former Tour pros, male and female, and assisted in training female futures players. As a 4.5, I would say I could be somewhat competitive with a female futures player, maybe lose 6-4. These are players who would likely lose love and love to any top 50 tour pro.

Some posters are comparing the power of 4.5/5.0 men to a pro. I would say the pace might be comparable, but the female pro is hitting an extremely heavy ball, with tight spin that really will explode off the court in a way you are not used to. Slice will be precise, tight and landing inches from the baseline, not like that sloppy half-sideways slice your 4.5 opponents produce. The real diiference however and the killer in my experience, is she will hit crazy angles that you just cannot cover. It doesn't look all that difficult when another pro is running them down, but try it for a few games and you will be dying.

    Totally agree!
Those believeing that a 4.5 male recreational player can do anything against the Pro, especially top 20 (or Agi), they have no idea about tennis and have never played against a serious player. The movement (speed), action on the ball, precision is something 4.5 is far, far from.

A few points here and there -- yes; a game (4 points in a row) -- no way

I am a solid 4.5 and had a few opportunities to hit with top juniors including Monica Seles when she was 11 yrs old, and I can tell you without a doubt that NO 4.5 through 5.5 will "EVER" beat a top 100 WTA player. Seles at 11 and about 90 lbs soak and wet beat me like a drum.

True. She actually employs some strategy.
I voted hell no. I would rather play Serena. She might miss a few. With Aggie, unless you could overpower her, which is well beyond anything most of us are capable of,we would be lucky to get a point

i dont think its out of the realm of possibility to think that a solid d1 male player could potentially beat her. one of my former teammates used to train and regularly beat bethanie mattek and i have regularly beaten our former number 1 who has wins over WTA players ranked around 450. not saying by any stretch it would be a sure thing but i dont think its delusional to say that. i do agree with many of the posts on this thread that fitness will be of vital importance. and wouldnt everyone like to try their luck against her anyway? ;)

Have any of you actually watched a WTA match live? The pace is very slow. It might be fast in comparison to your 3.5 hacker skills but I can confidently say that I would beat her in straight sets.

Guys. Aggie may be smallish for an elite pro gal these days, but I asssure you her hand to eye coordination is superb and a very rare gift. She has huge native talent

You have to sit 25 feet away as I have and marvel at her anticipation and timing. No, A-RAD cannot not hit like a Williams or a Capriati, but she will give anyone on tour real serious trouble if they are not on their A game. Ask yourselves, gentlemen, how many of you can really hit 15 deep groundies in a row in a match setting w/o a lame unforced error. I seldom see that on real world courts. A-RAD would obliterate (scorewise, that is) guys under up to 5.5 that don't OWN a RELIABLE >110 mph serve.
