So I'm sort of a noob with lead tape customization. Yesterday I added 8 grams to my Aeropro Drive GT (4g at 1 o'clock and 4g at 11 o'clock) Now if I wish to counterweight to bring the racquet back to its original balance of around 4-5 pts HL, would I add 8 grams of fishing weight, etc inside the handle to do so? or do i need to put some weight under the grip or a little of both?

Inside the handle or under the grip--it's all the same distance from the balance point. The easiest way is to mark the balance point BEFORE you add weight at the top. Then, after you add it, place the racket on the balance point and place your weight on the handle to bring it to balance. Then, take off your grip and add it to that spot. This lets you choose how much weight you're going to use also. You could add more weight, but closer to the balance point, or add less weight near the butt cap. You may want to decide what you want the static weight to be before you try balancing.
