Sorry for my ignorance but I wonder what a crack really looks like next to a scratch. It's almost similar to me. Some people said a thin line is a crack or vice-versa. What's the difference from the look?

It's hard to tell the differnece between a surface scratch and a crack. But, if the crack goes below the surface there will often be a displacement between the two sides of the crack and/or material from inside the frame will be visible.

A crack usually produces a vibration to go along with it. Another sign of a crack is that your elbow will get sore quickly, even if you don't feel the vibration. These don't have to happen, but if they do, you can assume your racket is cracked.
