Just a few finds over the weekend, first time I actually found anything of worth. Babolat pure drive team at goodwil for 3.99 and the jack kramer with case for 10 bucks on craigslist. I already sold the babolat for 60. gonna hang on to the kramer for awhile, little demanding but it slices like a dream.

Ya I make it a point to check the two goodwills near me about 1-2 weeks or so. Most of the time, in fact like I said everytime except this time I haven't found anything, its usually just kids rackets or old rackets that no one wants, but there is always alot of classic cases that gets the juices flowing only to find out there just cases.

I'd say its a fairly strong tennis community. lots of outdoor courts, lots of academies and facilities, the climate is the best of all.

Over here tennis isn't really that big. If I wanted any chances of finding a good racquet at a goodwill I'd probably have to drive 20-40 minutes from my area

not happy about that jack kramer. i had an agreement for that with the guy, had already paid him money, and for some reason you got it.

it was a good find, and happy it found a good home, but very pissed at the seller...

well no offense, but it was a local ad, kinda going out of the way to ask someone one craigslist to ship a racket as it is meant for primarily local use as opposed to shipping things.

We have a lots of tennis courts in Minneapolis. The problem is the weather. We can only play outdoor from June to September.

agreed but we had agreement and i had already sent payment, and paid for shipping... oh well; you win some you lose some.

i was a business grad though, and that's bad business from the seller. Good find for the new buyer tho

btw I read in your other thread that he said it had never been hit with, that is a blatant lie as there is obvious signs of play(head grommet worn a bit and some shank fuzz on the frame, also a small scratch too)

Newly saved from the depths of goodwill, a prince spectrum comp. look for it in the classifieds soon. Any idea what condition this is in? 5-6/10?

5/10 - It's in rough shape but playable assuming it's not cracked somewhere.

thanks bud, ya one thing I always look over meticulously before I buy is to see if the frame has anything that could resemble a crack. Alright 5/10 good to know.

Anyone have any specs on the spectrum comp? I had a hit with it today and I was pleasantly suprised at how well I hit with, I'm not sure which aspect of the racket I owe that too so some specs would be nice. It might have been the added weight or the 14x18 string pattern.

What parts of U.S do you all think nice sticks are most likely to show up in good will / thrifty stores??

Going by logic, Chicago would be the most likely area to score a Chicago Pro Staff 85, but of course luck never works that way! :)
