Hey, I wanted to know if anyone has or has wanted to do some radical racquet projects. My idea was to take a self-playing "game-improvement" racquet (like a head i.S12 weighing 7.9oz) and drastically modify it. I would add an extra inch to the handle with an "anchor" to make it head-light. Strung with Luxilon Timo 18 at maybe 55lbs, it should be a crazy racquet. Not that it would be much use in a match, but just the sheer spin/power from serves would be astounding. It would be a fun thing to try; has anyone attempted something like this? ...or have any more such ideas.

Just a joke, but anyways if you're brave enough to try it go ahead and tell us how it turns out.

Haha yes those are super-stiff --> but hey it's not like anyone even got hurt using luxilon  , maybe a different string would do -> 19 guage maybe? BTW 17 guage lasts maybe 10hrs till it pops on the i.s12. Just need to try out some extremes. Either way I should go sleep --> intense training in the morning.. Stanley Park Open next week.. whoosh should be good; need to check out the ITF event.

Why don't you buy a $2 racquet from a supermarket and use lead to change it to the prestige's specs lol.

you could try to turn that i.s12 into sumthing that will launch the ball into space.... you could add like 3+ ounces in the head and put some gut into it..... yeah!!! It could be an ultra stiff racket thats like 20 pts head heavy with gut!!!

Apparently some people just do not appreciate creativity.

Why not try something that will really challenge and hopefully improve your hitting skills. I suggest stringing one of your rackets either 4x4 or 6x6 and taking it out for some hits. This will really force you to watch the ball and try to hit a sweetspot similar to the size it would be on a 70 sq" head. Its actually not that hard and you may be surprised at your ability to hit some rallies :)

that would warp your racket, I wouldn't suggest trying it.

WARP indeed! --> It can't get much worse than it already is.
What is it 10pts head heavy? 7.9oz unstrung? LOL. Either way I think I got rid of an old i.S12 a while ago. I think I can find someone's i.X11 though :).

Oh and aside from some minor lead tape and fishing weights, no one is warping my PD+ racquets :)
