So Head, Volkl, Donnay, Pro Kennex, Boris Becker and Pacific racquets have removable/replaceable plastic pallets instead of molded foam handles (like Wilson, Babolat, Prince, etc.).

But which pallets from one brand will fit on a racquet from another brand? For example, say I've got Volkl frame but prefer the slightly more rectangular Head handle-shape. Can I put a Head pallet on a Volkl frame? How about on a Donnay?

I'd like to make this OP a go-to post for anyone wondering the same thing. So any contributions you'd like to make I'll incorporate into this post with edits, hopefully compiling a definitive list.

The problems start here with your first sentence. ProKennex generally do NOT have removable pallets, and I don't know that Donnay do either.

The new Donnay frames do have removable pallets. I'm looking at an X-White's pallet right now. Some ProKennex do as well, but not all. Actually, that would be good info for this thread as well - a list of PK frames with removable pallets. Anybody been jotting down that info?

New Pk won't be using pallets anymore,
I put a t82s head pallet (speed) on a volkl, it kind of works, but increases the grip almost one size.

Thanks Broly4. Does it increase by one size because the t82s doesn't completely "enclose" the Volkl hairpin, leaving gaps in bevels 3 and 7?

Exactly, each gap is about 2 mm, after the tape and grip the gaps aren't noticeable

Will a Volkl pallet work on a Head racquet? I know the opposite was already asked.

Head-pallets dont fit on Pacific at all.. The hairpin on the pacific is to big for the Head.

I agree with the first sentence, but if memory serves right, the Fischer/Pacific hairpins are probably the smallest out there and their pallets are much thicker than Head pallets.

Volkl and Boris Becker racquets are the only brands that you don't have to second guess which brand of pallets is suitable for your racquet.

Hmm, I removed pallets on a Pacific X Force Pro and the hairpin was bigger then on a Head. Will check again tomorrow just to confirm so i dont post wrong information, but im sure this was the case
