Current top 3 in golf the most exciting together in a long time?

I think it is exciting for the PGA to see 3 players all very young (Speith is 22, Rory is 26, Jason Day is 27), all with exciting games and interesting personalities, and all who could win a lot of majors and can easily be ranked #1. Especialy in the post Tiger Woods era. In fact at the height of Tiger's best I don't think it was this exciting. Els and Mickelson did not break out until middle age, and neither was a potentially dominant player (even without Woods around) either. Els and Singh were also boring and never interesting personalities and both had major Tiger phobia.

Yes, I'm digging the current competiton. Plus several other guys in the mix: Streb, Stenson, Fowler, & the Johnson's.

Yeah an exciting group who will give the current top 3 a lot of competition as well. At the next event the top 3 could all take the #1 ranking. I wonder if Day even has a shot to steal POY from Speith if he ends the year in booming fashion with like 3 tournament wins.

Yes, it would take several more titles and Spieth to have more showings like last week.

There are only three more weeks left this season...Boston, Chicago and Atlanta. If Day ran the table, thereby winning the FedEx Cup, there could be an argument for POY. Otherwise, 2 titles, a second and a T4 in the four majors is the winning combo.

Golf is in a much better place than tennis, and for more interesting to watch, the depth of field is outrageous.
