I posted this here now since the TW Staff has not answered this as of yet. I am thinking of cutting down my grip to generate more spin like Nadal and other pros are doing in effect. My grip size right now and normal grip size is 4 3/8 and I am thinking of cutting it down to 4 1/4. What is your advice on this? Can you tell me the proper way to do this? Would a local tennis shop probably do this for me? How much would they charge?

Well, depending on what racket you have it might not be possible for you to sand it down. Many rackets these days are made out of material that cannot be reduced in size (like my Wilson, where the handle is solid plastic). Find out whether or not yours can be sanded down by taking it to your local pro shop.

1 grip size--take off the grip, use 2 overgrips in it's place. Should be about right. I wouldn't mess with cutting down the handle. It would be easier to sell the racket and buy another, unless it's one with interchangeable pallettes.
