My friend just came back from college, hes no.1 singles and no.1 doubles as a freshman at a d3 school. he looses most of his matches, but not like 6-0 6-0, its usually a good fight. anyway, i played a practice set against him, and lost 6-4, by being broken in the last game of the set with like 4 deuces. how good should my rating be then? i've never been rated before.

Just cuz he is D3 doesnt say much. Bates College, in Maine, is D3 and their number one is going pro next year. I am D3 and a strong 4.5 but i only play number 6. It all depends on the school really.
