Whoever wins the doubles wins the tie to me.

Thomas is playing really well, rising to the occasion unlike the worm.

what do you mean? it will still be very unusual for Berdych or the worm to win on Sunday. you COULD say Czech winning the doubles is their only chance atm.

Berdych is slight underdog against ferrer and believe it or not stepanek is slight fav in a deciding 5th rubber against almagro.

I have a Gordon puppet somewhere! If remember correctly, he came with these little shoes. I really hope my parents didn't throw him out....

Edit: Little removalable shoes, it's adorable.

    I certainly wasn't expecting one.

Nico fought for it, but I think that trash talk before the match and those difficult calls / challenges messed with his belief.

Berdych should be embarressed to win in 5. He called Almagro for being pathetic....he almost shamed himself out there.

I read that Ivan Llendl and the other members ot the 1980 Czech Davis Cup winning team are at the final. Was there some sort of reunion celebration? Did they have a ceremony honoring them?

As Corretja said: We've won five times recently, and for them it's been 30 years ... and he said it with such a sweet smile!

poor berdy if he has to play today (which I assume is what is going to happen, since Rosol is too unreliable) after that five setter to bring CR even @ 1:1

M&M (marcel and marc obviously) stepanek's team w/Paes was the only one the spaniards lost to in the WTF round robins

still, the spaniards were beating the other dubs teams, and Steppie is probly tired ... Berdman seems in a "bring it on" mood: we can rest after we win

I'd love to see M&M win the dubs ... but Spain has won too many finals ... give someone else a chance ... it would be very cool for Czech Republic to win this time, imo

ESP played a perfect first set, but the last few games, Czechs seem to have the momentum. Granollers isn't going to struggle much on serve, but now it's Lopez serving...

ACorretja is one of the coolest, nicest, most diplomatic, honest guys ever. He is in a league with Guga, Rafter and Noah. If RF said that, it would be taken as either honest or arrogant. With Alex, it's just sweet.

Happy for Tomas Smid and Lendl getting together and getting some love, though.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, I am glad for guys like Marc and Marcel having success and, above all, breaking brainless stereotypes.

But Spain is as well as unbeatable at home ties, and has a ridiculous bench depth. Add to that a top-5 level doubles team that doesn't include any of the singles top guys, so they can stay well rested for the third day, and it becomes a bit too much.
