There is a lot at stake in this tie especially. If france can upset spain, then the tie against the US will be hosted by the US instead of in the "bull ring" in spain. (assuming the us beats belarus)
PH Matthieu has already taken down chuck moya in 5. You gotta believe that france will win the doubles as well. This means that the french team really only needs one more singles win. Don't be surprised if santoro gets it right here against jcf!
now let me practice a little of my french:
le coupe de davis espana etait perds a le team francais???

Jonas, the fan noise in that bull ring had to disrupt Moya, they were noisy between his serves.

Guy Forget had it right here -- because of his past ego fights with Santoro, Santora will make sure he proves him wrong and win his matches whatever it takes.

Still can't believe we get to see it live on TTC ;-)

I'm curious, if the US were to play spain....how would p-mac's singles selections change? Would a guy like Vince Spadea get the nod since he seems to be perhaps one of America's best baseliners?

Suspended due to darkness at 3-3 in the 4th set, gimme a break, or give it to the Magician.

Yep. Interesting turn of events considering that they will resume right before Santoro is set to play his doubles match.

Seriously, if Ferrero loses (which I really don't think he will), France wins no matter what. Their doubles is too good. But if Ferrero wins, the doubles will have that much better of a chance, and maybe the real Moya will show up on the court on the final day and Ferrero will play his heart out, and Spain will take it all. Comon Spain, just so I can see you guys take down Roddick in front of the whole world.

And too bad TTC plays it at like 4 am, I can't get up that early.

I've got both the singles matches.. but they are long.. if there's interest I'd be willing to release either/both. But they are hardly marquee names.

Seems a football crowd discovered tennis this weekend in Spain, why not allow a bugle corp and fireworks on changeovers. And the umpire would penalize the home team a point because the crowd is too loud? Lemme take off my shades and really fire up this crowd. A pop the WWE would be proud of.

James.. no.. just that we get Davis Cup matches on Sky. (Just one of the semis though). The Spanish are marquee names.. I meant the French :) with my rather flippant remark.

I'll consider releasing Moya-Mathieu.. but 4+ hours.. that's going to be close to 2GB if I use the same settings for the matches so far and I dunno there would be a lot of folk looking for them. I've watched bits of the match and tension aside there was too many errors (especially from Moya).
