Davis Cup: "The Near capacity crowd"

    According to Yahoo it was a near capacity crowd ? I thought it was sold out ? Does that just mean that some people who bought tickets didn't show up ?

    Most likely. The cynical take is that a bunch of tickets were bought by scalpers who were unable to sell them in time. I'm sure there were a few who bought tickets and then had other plans, though.

    ^ What's so cynical about that? Seems reasonable to me.

    I wish I would have known about it being in Portland earlier. Could have visited a friend up there.

    There were probably also some sponsor seats that remained unfilled/unused. Probably just a few seats here and there.

    Or maybe some people had to work on Friday. (the ticket is for 3-days)

    ^ Yeah, maybe they bought the tickets without checking the dates first. :p

    I vote for scalpers! It sold out in 30 minutes!
