Alright, Kaptain Karl, here it is. If I could borrow from the Clash, Davis Cup "Should it stay or should it go?"

    Of course, I say STAY!

Where's the choice to change its format? I love Davis Cup, but the current format stinks.

I thought about that, and figured there were too many choices in changing format. So, I opted for a simple Yes/No.

Blake > Ginepri. Good call by PMac.

See to me, that decision by PMac reeks of who he and Roddick like better, like some sort of fraternity. Take them based on their rankings.

Rankings yes. But most important is who is currently hot. Blake hotter than Ginepri, who has only won 1 match.

    Absolutely

...yeah, Ginepri has had a couple of bad losses this past month.
He will be back. Some good ol' Davis Cup experience against a beatable team like Rumania might be just what the doctor ordered for Robby....but the Captain is not in a position to take any chances. Though their rankings are both in the 15 to 20 range, Blake is the more solid choice at the moment.

You think Ginepri will be asked along to be a hitting partner? Hope so.
Maybe Amer Delic and Vince Spadea?

Oh, and re: the Davis Cup referendum? Please. There is no referendum. The ITF has no plans to scrap the world's premier men's team tennis event.

Surely, after last year, only the American team would want to change the format. Seemed to work well in 2004, eh?

I love it. Clearly it should stay.
