Now that Davydenko is brimming with confidence, how do you rate his chance to win the 2008 French Open?

Taking into account that he's made the SF at the French twice, along with the fact that he's actually played well enough against the two current best players on clay (Federer FO SF 2007, Nadal Rome SF 2007) to beat them on that surface save for his tendency to kind of choke, I think he's right there as a potential winner this year. Thoughts?!

I would put Nadal, Djokovic, and Federer ahead of him in chances of winning it.

If Davydenko wins Roland Garros, then Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic should go to college and major in computer science.

i see no reason why he couldn't win if he takes some confidence from Miami. he can run everything down, doesn't make a lot of errors, and his weak serve is a lot less of a liability on clay... not sure if he can take those balls early against nadal on a surface with a less regular bounce like clay though.

I don't like Djokovic's chances. So my top 3 would be Nadal, Federer & Davydenko.

I rate Davydenko or Nalbandian as possible finalists.

your poll selections are too extreme... yes he'll win or no chance..?

Of course he has a chance, and a good one.

Another stupid poll, with options that make no sense. What is wrong with you people?

Davy has a good chance to get deep in the draw...he might even make it to the finals but I as well see Fed, Djoko and Nadal ahead of him! Even tho he might kick one of em out, just remember how close it was last year agains fed!

Make another one, with some decent options, gj. We'll vote there.

Agree with you buurnz, I'd like to see him in the semis, no, in the finals.

He may get to the finals but I don't see him as a winner. It might happen, anything is possible in tennis but I just don't see this one happening.

That's the beauty of life. We keep thinking it'll be Roger this time, but Mother Nature throws up a new one ... Tsonga, Murray, Nishikori, Fish, Kevin Anderson, Davydenko ...

That is true, but have to admit i was being a little sarcastic. I hate all the "what racket is _____ using?" threads after a player has notched some decent wins or whatever. But you're right, thats the best thing about tennis...the unpredictability.
