    Hello,

Just saw a racket on the auction site (Prince speedport Tour) and the guy says it has the words demo on it. Does this mean its a lower quality racket compared with the "usual" rackets that TW sell etc??

    Thanks for the help

NO THEY ARE THE SAME. THE DEMO ON THE FRAME JUST KEEPS THEM FROM SELLING THEM WHICH THEY ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO DO

FOr years I used demo rackets everyday, babolat then wilson.Never found a difference, one coach i knew claimed they were in some ways better as they didn't want people play testing and getting first impressions from a stock type frame. How likely that is i'm not convinced but it wont be any worse.

Why would a demo racquet be inferior to a retail (non demo)when this is the racquet used to draw propecting players to buy the specific model?

These racquets have tatoo'd 'demo' on it so that the store cannot just outright sell them off and it they do they cannot charge a full price for it since these are handled out for 'free' or as samples.

how is this pointless? it's a legitimate question. your post is pointless, though.

yeah, i've had a few demo's myself and i notice no difference, except they seem to be well made.

He had a legitimate question. Back off. I don't know what's going on between you two, but there is nothing wrong with this thread...

A demo is a regular racquet with just "demo" printed on it so stores cannot resell it for profit.

Ok thanks a lot for the help. Just wondered why demo's go for cheaper if they are the same?
Surely demo's shouldnt be for sale as they were obviously made by Prince to give to shops etc just as an idea of the racket?

Some shops have to buy the demo rackets or just use a racket from stock as a demo...

I know fischer dont do demo's they make you buy a racket at wholesale price..
