22 UFEs in 2 sets is pre-win streak form! He's back to Miami form where he smashes raquets and hopes for the clay season to start!

He's rusty! Nice to be rusty and win in straights, right?

Federer won 87% of his first serve with 12 aces and 1 DF. He is FINE.

That's why they play the warm-up events to the USO, to shake off the rust after winning Wimbledon and not playing since.

But he still played pretty good.

Federer was never in a losing position in his match. Djokovic on the other hand clearly was in trouble, and had his opponent been a little more experiences, he would be gone already.

Polansky was actually in prime position to eliminate Djokovic, he was presented with a ton of break point chances and at multiple points, has triple break point. Imagine that, #225 eliminating #4.

Another record for Fed; most 20+ match winning streaks in the Open Era with 6.

Besides, Niemeyer played exceptionally well and caught Federer a bit off guard. Did you even watch the match? I would say that stretch of two or three games at the end of the second set was probably the best he's played all year.
