I have a soft spot for Diadora shoes. I have worn them and loved them since the 80s. I have tried only one pair of Ds in the last ten years, and the size 13 which is their biggest size didnt fit. It was too small. And in a Nike i am an average size 13. So these DDras run a lil small as far as i know. However the build and feel of the shoe is SUBLIME. And i do mean SUBLIME. I was considering keeping them even though they were too tight. So anyway, if you have some experiences with this shoe, please chime in. Thanks in advance, Dan.

Yes. Aren't they already out on TW? I love the all black pair. My only gripe is the sizing. I'll try en out again. But they ran a little shirt in the model I ordered. But I really like the build quality of this brand.

Dunno, always felt better in Nike's and even Adidas than Diadora, Lotto etc.

When I was a kid, I used to get Diadoras, Filas, Lottos and others like this from local Footlocker.
They never felt as comfortable and lasted as much as my Nike's and Adidas that I started buying when I could afford them.
    Guess I'm just a N&A fanboy .

Ahaa. I figured you hadn't tried the new models on. These are to the Dias of old like comparing apples to mangos. Like so many companies in today's world, these guys may have changed owners etc etc, but the build on these are like no other. Try a pair if I you get a chance

I'm using a new pair of Diadoras right now. I've had them for about 3 months and they are showing some wear, which is to be expected. I play about half of the time on clay and the other half indoors/hard courts. They fit well, feel great and have nice traction. They are also pretty light. I'll be buying more of these, but in the future it'll be here from TW. I'm glad TW carries them now as I think they'll make some more tennis players very happy. Good thread danbrenner! Thank you.

cool. thanks for your input. The build on these is really sublime. I just hope that i can fit in them. I love that all black pair. My buddy has a pair of the uni tongue jobs, and he adores them. The best part is, they come with a 6 month warranty. you just cant go wrong with those. I look forward to buying a pair.

Diadora was my introduction to a tennis shoe with a "low to the ground" design. A couple years ago, I grabbed a 2nd hand pair of their Speedzones from someone here and they were incredibly good. The soles seemed paper-thin, but they gave me superlative traction, comfort, and durability. I actually got a new pair of KSwiss Ascendors (I think) at the same time as these used Diadoras and I chewed through the bottoms of the KSwiss shoes in no more than a month and a half - and I was alternating them with the Diadoras, which gave me several more months of strong performance on their own.

Tried another model of Diadoras, maybe their Speed Fire, but that shoe had much less quality. I pitched them before I wore 'em out. Hopefully these folks have remembered what they've done right in the past and incorporated it in their new line. I want to support the home team and be loyal to New Balance, but my first Diadoras were easily the best tennis shoes I've ever owned. Although I'm rotating three different sets of sneaks from three different companies, I'll probably be looking to scratch the Diadora itch at some point this summer.

I fell in Love with the lightness of the Speedzones years ago. the 3 was the pinnacle of comfort and a long lasting shoe for me. I tore through the Barricade 5s in 3 months, it took me 9 with the Diadora's. Their 2013 line was pretty durable but only sold by a competitor. So glad to see TW has them back!

I'm just wondering about the fit. As far as length, do these shoes run a half size small, or normal?

Copy that. I'm glad TW us selling then now. Not only that but I don't believe that they came with a 6 month warranty when the were selling at the competitor you mentioned. Do this is really a home run here. I must own that all black/soccer shoe looking pair. I just must.

The old models were definitely half a size small. I would say these are true to size now.

Unfortunately, I don't know the difference in fit between the pro/star. I've always stuck with the pros and have been happy with the fit at a size 11.

I will also say the durability and build quality of the 2013 model was far and away better than the last model year that TW also sold. I'm expecting good things from the 2014 class.

    Diadora means
    'By means of gifts'.

    Mi amora:
My favorite shoe ever was the rebound ace da. Guga wore it. I stockpiled a few into the mid 00's. ran out, switched to fila, then babolat.

    Out that doora:
I have tried to love the new diadora lines for the past few years. Great name, great design, They run a lot more narrow these days. I am a 13, but the diadora 13s i tried did not fit. And for that reason, i'm out.

    Mi amora:
But their clothes absolutely blow away nike and adidas.

Said like one of the judges on Shark Tank. I actually had te same problem. But that being said, this is a new line for 2014 and the TW product details for fit lists them as true to size. So I will give them one more try. I will order the all black pair with the 6 month warranty.

Let us know what you find. I have a wide foot, but Diadoras seem to adjust after a brief wear in period. Maybe an hour on an elliptical or one match in.

The 3s needed no break in, but I am good with these as-is

I wanted a pair of the red/black speed stars from last year but I could never find them here in the states. I'll probably grab a pair now, although the blue colorway isn't as nice looking.

I still have a stockpiled pair of Diadora Mavericks from 2003? when they were last retro'd. They are by far the best clay court shoe I've ever wore! I also have a few pairs of the Borg Elites that have been getting retro'd recently, I don't wear them for tennis though.

Had two pairs of Diadora in the mid-80s. They were SO narrow, did try a size or two larger but they were still killing my toes - OUT THE DOORA!
Now I´m ready to give them a go again, ordered a pair of the new Diadora Speed Star K V Black/Grey/White. They look great, hope the fit is better nowadays, it seems so. Could become mi amora...

^^^ Well, I got mine yesterday and they are going back today so I can only comment the looks and fit. 1. looks: Great-looking, second to none as always with Diadora. Not to-much-colors as some other brands tends to have nowadays. 2. fit: To me, they are definetly 1/2-size short in size. I can imagine someone with wide feets could need a full size larger. Width is medium, toe-box a tad narrow. Arch support slightly below medium. Hope this helps somewhat...

Hmm... I´ll be having the Speed Stars in size US11,5, after changing. Previously I´ve used US11,5 Fila Alpha II(roomy), US12 Fila R8(small-in-size), US11 HEAD Speed Pro Lite and version III(both roomy)... :-?

The Rebound Ace DA was the best tennis shoe ever made IMO.

The current Speed Star is ok, not nearly as wide as the Rebound Ace. But at least it's leather so after a bit it stretches to conform to your foot. My big problem with the Speed Star is that it doesn't seem as stable or supportive as most shoes, including the Bab Propulse 3, which is what I currently wear. Good cushioning though.

you see, you dont have a problem. I on the other hand, and a size 13. So when they are too snug, im screwed. These guys dont make anything larger. But the 13s i tried had sublime build and feel.

Would be great it if Diadora tennis clothing made a comeback. Loved their apparel. The "One of Eleven" soccer-inspired top with the blue stripe across the right shoulder that Gaudio, Ljubicic, etc. wore was and still is one of my favorite tennis shirts of all time. After getting a ton of use, my Diadora clothes still are in good shape while other brands are literally hanging on by a thread.

I absolutely believe we ought to spend a moment here, celebrating diadora's recent past.

    qft

Great quality. I had every color: navy, red, black, white. i even had the scotland home and away jerseys. Remember the eleven spots on the shoulders that would change colors with body heat?

I do not like polyester, but these shirts were made of the best synthetic materials and with superb fabrication.

    qft

Actual leather with some good pleather in the upper, blown rubber, some eva, herringbone pattern, not heavy, fairly wide, simple and clean look. Best shoe ever. Sad it is gone, but i feel lucky babolat has touched on a couple of these qualities.

I wish they would make a comeback in the clothing department too! I never got that shirt you guys are talking about but I did get a couple others. I'm not a soccer fan but I do admit, I considered getting some AS Roma kits when Diadora was making them. I did get a Scotland National jersey they made.

Sometimes when I'm feeling nostalgic, I go back to like '05 or so on the way back machine and check out TW when they sold Diadora stuff lol:)

Don't be so sensitive, he wasn't criticizing you merely pointing out he's in their biggest size so cannot size up.
