Did Luxilon just raise all its prices? It seems like every site has them up by more than a dollar. This really blows:(

Holy crap! $15.75 for ALU Power on TW. I highly doubt prices went up because they weren't selling greedy *******s.

Luxilon did not raise its prices.

The greedy fu**ers at Wilson just wanted a bigger slice of the pie.

im gunna start buying mini reels of alu power instead of packs now, because not it is a better deal, before it was barley saving money if you bought a reel

Wilson Natty Gut is now $42--and it is the same as Babolat VS for $35.

That happened sometime ago. Well at least it's still one of the cheaper guts out there. Wilson gut $42, I'll never touch that.

KLIP's prices are all right. There are heaps of poly/co-polys out there that are as good, if not better than Luxilon at less than half the price. But of course, string is a personal thing, everyone have different opinions on each type of strings.

There are a lot of string companies that are putting their prices up due to the cost of raw materials. I think that most will go up over the coming months, its just that not all are doing it now.

I had a notice from 1 of my suppliers that Ashaway strings were going up between 5 & 7%, while TF told me that their prices were going up from 1st Jan. I'm just waiting for the new catalogues from my Wilson supplier and my main supplier which will confirm the new prices for this year.

    Regards

    Paul

Not every site. At the time of this post, another major online retailer still has sets of Alu Power for $14.50.

God those greedy people. Wilson must be stupid to increase their gut to 42... I mean Babolat Gut is the same thing.

NXT is at 16 dollars a pop. Looks like I may be moving on to use gut...

Man, I feel really sorry for the people at my club. All they stock is wilson/luxilon, and they markup the string as it is. They want 55 dollars for NXT strung, 40 for sensation. I don't even want to know about Luxilon, probably 60 or 65. For that price, you can get a reel of cyberflash! Wilson knows they have the monopoly on the market, though, so it's a good business move.

They seem to update their prices slower. Just like Cyberflash sets are down to $5.75 on TW but is still the same at SDP.

Lux was already WAY overpriced. Any string that can't hold it's playing properties beyond 4 hours is essentially useless IMO, unless of course you like to throw $ away.

you do realize that a place like TW makes about a dollar per set of string don't you? i'd say they are tired of losing money on free shipping with string purchases...

I would like to have you back up that statement with some numbers, as I feel you are way way off! (Unless you are talking of maybe one set of a cheap set that goes for $2.00 then thats a 100% mark up) Most string prices are marked up a substantial amount just like anything else, unless you have the figures to prove me wrong.
