That was by far one of the most exciting matches I've seen since the Kuerten-Mirnyi match at the Open. This match had so much excitement and tons of long rallies. It just seemed that Guga wasn't really going for his shots. This guy Monaco (qualifier) from Argentina has a similiar game to Lleyton Hewitt. His game is all about counter punching and playing percentage tennis. He had a few great drop shots too.

I hope tennis channel repeats that match. This time I;ll have my video tape locked and loaded.

I remember this Juan Monaco character from a couple of minor tournaments early this year, where he did quite well, beating some seeds in his first ATP-level tournaments. He's young, 19 I think; I remember that Guillermo Coria spoke very highly of him.

It was 6-1 3-6 7-5. Good, close match, by the score at least.

Monaco fights hard for every shot on the point a lot like Canas. It was a good match, but Guga looks very low on confidence.
