For those of you with extensive experience of hybrid string jobs I am awaiting some Supex strings and one combination I want to try is a Poly main/Multi cross. Problem is Poly is 1.22mm and Multi 1.30mm. Is this going to be ok or will Poly main just saw through cross? These are the only gauges I can get hold of in the UK by the way.

That'll work. I've used 18g and 16g strings in a hybrid and they worked fine.

I would take the thinner gauge for the poly. If you do the opposite, the poly will cut the multi in no time :)

So your solution will work just fine.

That's the plan. Put the thin Poly in the mains and the thicker multi as a cross to soften and provide a bit more feel. Planning on 56 for mains and 58 for cross. Seem about right?
