    Hi folks,
Today I have to restring my racquet and a friend of mine recommended me different tensions for the same racquet.
I use to string Signum Pro Poly in two pieces at 53lbs.
He advices 53 lbs crosses and 55lbs mains.
What differences am I going to find?
    What are the advantages?
Do you recommend me this combination?

    Thanks,

I think if it is the same string both in the mains and crosses it would not matter if they were different tensions. The mains do most of the work. IMHO

I have been told by some pro stringers to string the x's 4-6lbs tighter than the mains.

Because of all the friction of the x's going through the mains they dont get near as tight as the mains do.I have been doing this for a couple of years now +really like it.
