What an incredible response from Djokovic after the three big heartbreaks he has had this season, which he has pointed out in interviews.

He ends the season by doing what many thought was not possible, and that is running table with 24 straight wins after the US Open final, picking up some major wins along the way.

After those big losses, a lesser player could have had their will crushed, and could have gone out of 2013 with a whimper. Not only did he regain the Eye of the Tiger, the edge that made him the world class champion that a player of his caliber should be, but he did it without blinking, without avoiding anyone. He ran through the competition and played some fantastic tennis

It also shows the versatility of the man, playing the HC slam finals, playing the grass slam final, and the semi at RG which was pretty much a final itself, and then KO's the competition indoors. Having Djokovic play at the height of his powers is a sight to behold, and very important for the game.

A great response to losing the number one ranking. Hoping 2014 continues his run. It will be interesting to see how close to his streak of 2011 he gets.

I hope this streak survives a while, unless he meets Federer. It's always fun when a player has a win streak go on. Adds an extra dimension to big matches.

You have to doff your cap to Nole - a 24 win streak is pretty cool.

Congratulations to Djokovic, he's been having a very good run. He'll need the memories come the Australian Open. :)

That's why a loss would be the more devastating, requiring an ever increasing supply of fond memories to soften the blow. ;)

It'd be cool if he could repeat 2011 or even go one better. I have good memories of the excitement that built up around The Streak in 2011, and I'm not even a Djokovic fan.

These posts will be very fan to resurrect, just like all the predictions about WTF, after Novak wins AO in a similar fashion.

Yeah, Murray will be coming back too. I wonder how much of a influence he will have in AO.

Nadal wanting his second Career slam.
Novak wanting to continue his winning streak in AO.
    Murray coming back.
Federer might have some spark still left in him

    All will be hell.

Oh, so you were here during USO and know how people were predicting. How come your join date is Nov 2013? Interesting.

Nonsense. I just did a search. How would I remember your post verbatim, including typos? Search, copy, and paste. :)

I didn't need to. I just went to the USO thread and searched. I thought it would be hilarious to see what Chico predicted. He mentioned resurrecting such posts is fun, and he was right!

Incredible indeed, very well deserved by Nolan. Too pity he couldn't deliver the important wins when it most mattered. I think he'll have a big 2014.

Can't believe it's almost been 3 years since the rise of Djoker 2.0. Here's hoping Djoker 3.0 can win the calendar year Grand Slam!

Did you include his 2 wins at Davis Cup lately?

That would make 26 wins and counting.

Djokovic can became the only player in Open Era who has at least 2 streaks 40+ if he wins AO, 2 matches at Davis Cup, Dubai and reaches fourth round at IW.

    Vilas 46
    Lendl 44
    Djokovic 43
    Borg 43
    McEnroe 42
    Federer 41
