That's horrible news. Novak should pull out if the situation is indeed as dire as the article indicates.
Hopefully his father recovers
Novak may tank the match today, we will see. I remember last year, Novak wasn't very bright in Bercy too. It is all going wrong at the end of the year, isn't it?
Novak may go into another slump soon.
If the article is correct and Novak's father is gravely ill, how can Novak play in any tournament? Who can play in a tournament if he knows his father is gravely ill? (unless you are estranged from your father.)
I sincerely wish all the best for the Djokovic family.
The latest news I read say his condition is stable and that he didn't have sepsis but has a bacteria stafilococ and that he's gonna recover.
This is awful news - hopefully Zag's latest update is on the money and that Srdan makes a full recovery.
Very happy to hear this.
It's good that he's actually going to recover. I'm glad it's not fatal.
All about sepsis..causes, treatmrnt, etc.
It's official, 2013-2015 is all about Murray vs Nadal.
Nole's father isnt the ideal guy in sportsmanship etc perhaps.. yets at a time like this i hope for a speed and successful recovery!
Probably Zagor's news are right, Djokovic is still in Paris
Djokovic won't be tanking either, his father's fine.
Damn, hopefully it isn't anything serious and if Djoko is still playing, I doubt it is.
He isn't the first and won't be the last. If you actually added something tennis-related, it would be okay. You just come with stupid statements without content, analysis or argumentation, and it wouldn't hurt to show that you at least find this sad for mr. Djokovic or something.
Ignore list. Works like a charm. And I only started to use it late this year, Saves me so much time about getting on nonsensic arguments instead of enjoying tennis discussions.
You meant to say you hope Zagor's update is literally on the money, right?
No - I was of course speaking metaphorically.
Actually it would hurt, since I'm here to talk tennis, not to talk about some stranger's dad. So the issue is how the father's illness will impact the tennis world. That is my focus 100%.
Very tasteless to say something like that if someone's father is seriously ill.
Father best Serbian tennis player has been admitted to the Emergency Center last Tuesday, then thought, the problem with kičmom.
It found that has their daily rations stafilokok, but after two day of receiving therapy, so it is already Thursday, according to the doctors was a good and stable.
From Clinical Center for MONDO deny media will see some pretty critical articles to Srdjan has sepsu, and that his life is in danger.
'Mr Djokovic was brought for pain in back and legs.
Translation from serbian to english,,not perfect..
That sounds way much better.
Wow this sucks, I hope he can recover.
Imo it doesn't have much to do with him being a Nadal fan.
He's just a horrible troll.
Serves up a bagel - then tanks? Crazy.
No wonder Nole tanked against Sam today.
You're such a sad man. You have my pity.
Which means you have to be entirely devoid of human empathy? Yeah, that totally makes sense
I dont this he was too sad about his father and his father seems to be in a stable condition to add on top of that i think he was jovial yesterday by wearing a darth vader mask no ?
Good to hear, but staph infections can be very nasty and dangerous too. They're often resistant to antibiotics. Hope he makes a full and speedy recovery.
Oh dear! Hope Mr. Djokovic takes care of himself.
I hope he recovers quickly.
According to an article yesterday, it doesn't look like he's improving: http://www.novimagazin.rs/vesti/srdjan-djokovic-prebacen-u-minhen-na-dalje-lecenje.
Translator says he was transported to Munich yesterday and that his condition was critical.
I don't like Cvac or his family, but I hope his dad recovers ok from this.
From the little I know about sepsis, it sounds like it's really hard to make a full recovery. Scary stuff. Hopefully he was strong and healthy before this illness struck and that will help him fight it off.
What a shock, we thought you were a great supporter of all three Djokovic brothers, parents, gf, pet poodle, and gluten-free diet.
I must be a good actress then.
Yeah you go Jekyll and Hyde on us all the time
I wish there were a way to know the actual situation rather than relying on these Serbian media reports. If the father actually is septic and is in critical condition, I really don't know how Djoko is managing to play. Sepsis is incredibly serious. I wonder if the media is playing fast and loose with the term. Either way, having to be transported to Munich is probably not good I guess...
I'm sure Djokovic would fly back at once to be by his dad's side if he was in any danger. He surely wouldn't be able to continue playing at the O2. Who would?
If he's okay to continue playing, then that suggests to me his dad's condition is manageable and not life-threatening, at least so far. But I'm quite sure Novak is being kept fully informed and up dated by his nearest and dearest.
Djokovic dedicated his Barclays win to his father who is still in intensive care with a severe respiratory condition but is getting better.
