How come on TW it says that Novak Djokovic is using the Head Youtek Speed MP 18x20, instead of his signature racquet, the Head Youtek Speed Pro? Did he recently switch or something?

    -Thanks, Tennismsands

I feel like i'm getting a "But doesn't Santa exist, how can anyone live in the north pole, doesn't it get too cold?" Isn't it clear? Doesn't your question explain the answer? Head goofed. Pics of his racquet pattern leaked and they marketed the wrong one, basically they didn't think anyone would notice. Like how federer's pallet was longer than the stock photos and how the strings hit 4 grommets over the PWS where the stock his 5 over the PWS (ncode, tour 90). With all those liquidmetal paintjobs floating around (close up pics reveal there's no actual bevels they are painted shadows), why would head change it's ways?

Djokoer's racquet is not the Youtek it's a paintjob, NOTHING HAS CHANGED (I mean in the industry of deceiving the public of course). Two things, if they did give you his racquet, you would never buy a new one the next year to replace that one. And if Djoker switched his racquet every year he would be very inconsistent. If a player is so anal that he needs his racquet restrung before every match and practice and carries 15 and doesn't want a single thing altered from what he's used to, why would he make a jump to switch to a new racquet? That would throw anybody off.

We were recently informed from Head that Novak is using the Head Youtek Speed MP 18/20 going forward.

I know he is using a paint job and everything but i didnt know why head would be so quick to change it from The Youtek Speed Pro(which has his signature on it) to the MP 18x20 just because people on TW noticed a different string pattern. I mean, almost everyone already knew it was a paint job so why would Head change it, like you said people noticed differences on Fed's racquet but Wilson didnt change it.

HMMMM cunning, this seems to well planned so people will buy the new yr speed 18x20 and to cover up that the pro is acctually a 16x19 which is not what djoko is using. also it's a 100sq frame which seems v unlikely that djoko would use that size, more likely a 98sq head size, thats why and many other pics seem to show that he uses a pj. but obviously a TW staff would not be able to state on their honest opinion of what is acctually the truth but if they did id love to know.

Ok This is in total of what he uses.
Racquet- custom mold similar to the wilson mold and olf radical mold he used to play with. Really nothing you can buy like it.
String-Babolat VS, Alu Power Smooth hybrid. gut always strung 1 kilo tighter and usually between 27 and 29 kilos for the gut.
handle-P1 custom molded handle which is a 4 1/2(not a 3/8 like someone said earlier)
grip-head calfskin with two white head overgrips on top.

Interesting he ended up with 18 X 20 pattern which is very similar to the Wilson Kblade he was using.

Not really.... He was using the Head LM Radical MP before Wilson. It was also 18x20.

I was referring to the 16 X 19 pattern on the You Speed Pro and then he switched back to 18 X 20 pattern.

He never used the Speed Pro in a tournament. It has always been since the LM Radical MP a 18x20 string pattern.
