He really needs to stop slicing his slice is crap, doesn't penetrate the court and just sits up to be attacked.

Slice rhymes with rice and rice is not that nutritional, but you still eat rice from time to time because it mixes things up.

    It's a metaphor

Rice is a good source of proteins, phosphorus and iron. It also contains some amounts of calcium. Most of the nutrients and minerals in rice are concentrated in the outer brown layers known as husk and germs. Hence brown rice, which is rice from which only husk has been removed, is the most nutritious type of rice. Unfortunately, many consumers prefer pseudo cosmetic preferences and demand white rice or polished rice, in which the germ and bran has been removed.

Rice contains vitamin B in small quantities.

There is no other food item that provides calories and energy to the world as provided by rice. It is not wrong to say that most of the people in the world as able to do their daily activities due to rice. Rice has about 345 calories per 100 g. Further, it is very easy to digest rice and hence most of these calories are absorbed by the body. How many times has it happened with you that you have eaten stomach full of rice and have felt hungry just one hour later?

Rice, as a food, is also very useful in diseases of the liver, and in affections of the blood-vessels and heart. It is also to be recommended in gout, as it does not form uric acid. For persons who prefer a vegetable diet, rice should never be absent from the bill of fare.

I want to take this moment to remind everyone not to mix up rice with ricin. It could be the last mistake you'll ever make.

Do remember, however, that in many countries where rice is the main cereal crop, rice cultivation is responsible for most of the methane emissions.

Rice requires much more water to produce than other grains.

    Rice is a cheap food,
    Slice is a cheap shot,
Djokovic has $12,000,000 is career money.

    Djokovic is not cheap,
    Why does he slice?

Sorry for my vague post. I was referring to white rice as poor in nutrition since in the United States, the greatest amount of rice consumed is white rice.

During processing for white rice, vitamin B1 (thiamine), vitamin B3 (niacin), and iron are lost but then added again later. This is what gives most American rice the label of "enriched" rice. However, even when white rice is enriched it does not reach the nutrient content of brown rice, which also has four times as much fiber.

Brown rice on the other hand, offers six times as much vitamin B1 (thiamine), three times as much vitamin B2 (riboflavin), five times as much vitamin B3 (niacin), twice as much vitamin B6, twice as much vitamin B9 (folate) as white rice and offers such nutrients as vitamin K and betaine that white rice does not. Both rices offer the same amount of vitamin E and choline.

Brown rice also contains nutrients like magnesium, manganese, and zinc. Manganese is an essential cofactor in a number of enzymes important in energy production and antioxidant defenses. White rice has reduced levels of these nutrients.

Here's one case where brown is better than white.

He looked awful today. He is capable of so much more and he is going to have to raise his game drastically to have a good tournament here.

Instead of Djokovic stop slicing, why don't he improve it instead?

His slice isn't that great, but it's nice to see him trying to mix things up a bit. A couple of years ago he didn't even use it, and his volleys were crap. So it's good to try new stuff, you always have to enrich your arsenal if you want to stay in the top five.

Rice-A-Roni is a San Francisco treat. Maybe Nole should move to SF to improve his slice?

While in San Francisco, he could train with 49ers great Jerry Rice. Rice would indeed improve Nole's slice.

It's not a good shot. No wonder Davydenko was hardly affected by it during the the semi final.

Uh no. Nadal's a lefty, and his slice is pretty damn good. He also uses it in a smart way.

Nadal at least really bites into the ball (no trophy joke intended) with his slice, and he can make it grind or he can float it. Djokovic only has the floater, which isn't as good of a change-up as a grinder, IMO.

Funny that you should mention rice vermicelli because I had some this afternoon. I learned that it takes longer than 4-5 mins to cook dem suckas. The directions on the package are not accurate.

Yeah, depends on the type. Usually I add a little salt to help it soften up better. Love that stuff.
