Do DIII schools really play no-ad and third set super tiebreaks?

I heard this from somewhere, googled it and found nothing. Input from current DIII players or those who've played against DIII schools would be nice.

If it helps any, we play quite a few DIII schools, and (barring weather/time/light) we play with -ad and full 3rds (unless the meet has been clinched).

they play it out just like everyone else. They follow the ITA rules set for College Tennis.
I just finished officiating the SCAC Conference Tournament.

I play D3 tennis. We also play against some D1 schools such as NIU, Southern, and UofI Chicago. The only difference is that the doubles point is indeed 3 individual points. So instead of the match being best of 7, its instead best of 9. We play out the 3rd set unless as someone said about the match already being clinched. Never have i seen no-ad though, thats just silly.

There are a few conferences that play no-ad because of the expense of court-time and wanting to keep the matches move at a quicker pace. Overall, matches are 9 points and each court counts as 1 point. Super-breakers for the third are done when matches are decided unless both coaches agree to play it out. This is done at times when two ranked players are competing so that their result has more meaning in deciding either within the conference, region, or national rankings.
